Yes, I know, there are a bunch of online pod odd calculators you can find and they are very useful.But in live casinos, you don't have those available. Unless you are a math genius like Gus Hansen, how could you figure those preflop all-in odds? Is there any simpler way to find out, like the 4/2 rule (which doesn't apply to this one)?

In his answer to Quiz#7, he listed a bunch of preflop odds about 7 8 against a variety of hands. He would either fold to you but when he went all-in, he had better cards than you did.Knowing you are the very aggressive type, I wouldn't mind going allin to have you called.And no, you don't have the pot odd to call.

It was really f.ucking unbelievable. Damn it I still can't believe it right now!It was at PartyPoker last night, I was playing at the $1/$2 NLHE table.Anyway long story short, five players went allin preflop (I folded my junk hands preflop). They held AA, KK, AK , QQ, and :clubs8: 8 (I had no idea why this guy went allin!) respectively.Guess what was the final board?! :clubs9: :clubs10: :clubsj: :clubsq: :clubsa: No one had :clubsk: The f.ucker with 88 won a HUGE HUGE pot! I don't know what would had happened if it were in a casino!The table collapsed soon after.

I've seen criticisms about this book, just google the title "Zen and the Art of the poker" and read some of the book review.I 've also heard that the reason Smasharoo isn't playing his PS games anymore is because he's busy writing his next book "Pokersamuri and the Art of poker".

If you have read the interview with Paul Darden at Card player magazine, he was actually a bad boy, a street gang of some sort (I am not exactly sure, but I did somehow remember that). But it's good that he's back in the right track.

Oh man, Phil is the greatest player of all time. He can beat any players (including you, Mr Negreanu. No disrespect) in HU games. I meant those so called "world class players" like Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Phil Ivey... ain't so great.
