partygaming/partypoker going public - thoughts?
gloyner replied to CoolHandLaw's topic in General Poker Forum
Yeah noticed the IPO notice today on Reuters(work in financial rates dept for a Canadian Bank). Should be a good offering, I'd love to get access to the FTSE to grab 50-100 shares or so. It's impressive to see all the gambling shares are doing well - Cryptologic is up 200-300% in the past year, Neteller was up big, but is coming back to earth a bit, and Partygaming should skyrocket. Now if only my bankroll would skyrocket as fast. -
rugbystar55 at Party, although haven't played there in like 8 months, was hoping to get my account deleted so I could play again as a 'new' account for PSO referral and points... don't think it's gonna happen tho. Also gloyner at Absolute, but after clearing bonus and playing with (and like a) rocks for 4 months I'm heading back to Party or Pacific. If people have stats on my play at party from 2004, disregard it, I was not learned in the ways of FCP back then...

You make a good point but.....Pirates would stun the ninjas with awful pirate jokes, negating the ninja's obvious physical superiority. For example -Pirate: What's my favorite country?Ninja: ?? Pirate: ARRRRRRR-gentinaNinja is stunnedPirate: What's my favorite automotive protective finish??Ninja: ??Pirate: ARRRRRRRR-mor All.Ninja is dazed and pirate smites the ninja downok, I'll stop now...

Real ultimate power dude produced a book?? Why am I wasting money on textbooks when I could be reading that! Although I'm of the opinion that pirates would destroy ninjas. Thanks for bringing up the ninja site again, I just may have to take another look at it tonight. Cheersch

I signed up last week, still waiting for the call... Can't beat a freeroll for 100,000 and a WSOP seat. Although I think the tourney falls on father's day weekend, but my dad will just have to understand... or better yet come watch -
Dallas used to be my favorite team, until Nash got signed away by Phoenix, so i follow Nash... plus Phoenix is so fun to watch, I'd love to be all the starters for a day, imagine feeling Amare's power, Marion's crazy hops, Nash's vision, Q's shooting (And not to mention I'd get to do the horns on head thing), and JJ for his D. Watched the game last night, made me super sleepy for work, Nash was sick, btu the Avery Johnson had a great plan.. wouldn't have mattered if Phoenix could defend inside... Phoenix in 7And hopefully against Heat in finals...

Yeah nothing like drunk chat... the best is waking up and your friend you were chatting to saves the conversation and sends it to you.. good times! Thanks for the replies everyone, I did figure I was in the minority, hopefully won't go broke coming home from bars... the key is 20xbb max buy-in with no rebuys for me... a re buy means time for bed.Cheersch

I don't know what it is, but I seem to have the majority of my great runs when I play drunk online coming home from the bar... A couple theories:1) I still play my same limit game no matter how many drinks (hooray for Autopilot), maybe others are just more drunk than me? 2) As my game is still solid, the extra aggressiveness from being drunkis an aspect I'm missing from my sober game 3) Bacchus smiles upon drinking and gambling so blesses the cards I receive Anyways, before the flaming begins, I realize excessive drunk poker is a quick way to lose my br and I don't make a habit of it (Basicall

From a Waterloo grad (class of 2002), happy birfday! I so miss that place, especially in summer, so much fun tobe a summer student... I can't imagine how often I woulda goneto Btfd if I had car and the poker room was open back then.Don't be a afraid of the Brantford casino, 2-5 is easy money for tight aggressive types, 5-10 probably is too. Just don't speedon Hwy 24 as I got so many tickets going through there. I'm stillgetting them off my record... Have a great birthday whatever / wherever you end upCheersch

Just my two cents on Brantford (I'm originally from there and try to play whenever i go home and visit parents and stuff). I've just played 2-5, seem to win about 6-8 bb/hour there, with people that play any two cards. Especially when the high school kids (or so they seem) come in raising blind, playing super aggressive. While accomdations are certainly not in Rama's league, there are enough good food spots, some even close to the casino (check out The Ring for great caribbean food - on Colborne st near Clarence). As far as wait time, I've shown up on a Friday night at 8:00 and usually only
