  1. Tre busted 6th for 12,180 before I could get down there tonight. No word on Vtlax's progress in today's 500, think I am going to stay in and take care of some things before I skip town for the weekend. Hopefully no news is good news. Only getting 3 hours of sleep last night before heading into work this morning was brutal.GG again Tre.Edit: Damn it too slow.
  2. First place gets a pretty f'ing sweet ring, even in the prelims. They had some of them on display.Cards in the air in about half an hour, glglglglgl.Edit: Tre is now at the Final Table, 10 players remaining. "short on chips tho" 3:30
  3. Vt blew it at the end of the evening when Tre calls the guy mentioned in the last two hands' 3-bet push. Tre has KcKh, crazy guy has AKd. Pot was something like ~270kish (Tre had raised to 19.5k at 4k-8k and he shipped over for 116k more I believe). Ace in the window. Vt goes "alright time for the one outter" and proceeds to call for the K of clubs on the river. I shake my head in disappointment, as this pot would have put Tre to nearly 4x average stack with 22 left and the clear chip lead. As it is, he finished the day with 243k and tomorrow they start blinds at 6k-12k, 1k ante. Tre's
  4. Just got out of work, gonna take a shower and then head down to Caesar's and stop by Tre's table. Then going to play some 1/2 NL until he hits dinner break. What details I get from him about how his day has gone so far I will pass on when I return home late tonight.
  5. I should be playing cash at Caesars at night during this. When you getting into town tomorrow Vt? I get out of work around 4:30, I may or may not drive into AC proper to play, depending on how works goes. If you guys want to get food again during the dinner break again on Wednesday, I'd be down. It is looking like I will not be around over the weekend (leaving town after work Friday night and returning sometime Sunday), but I should be playing cash most week nights this week and next week. Tre's got my cell #, I can PM you it if you want.
  6. I met Tre and Vtlax during the last Borgata Winter Open, and I felt like I already knew them to an extent by reading so many of their posts over the years. I signed up during the whole "charter member" thing, but I had lurked for significantly longer before that and mainly lurked for a long time after that. Once I turned 21 and started frequenting casinos, I started posting trip reports, which people seemed to enjoy for the most part. It wasn't until this past year that I started posting with any sort of frequency, mainly in the Football forum. I also had the only active thread going in th

  9. I noticed this when I met up with him and Tre during the Borgata Winter Open and he called someone down with 9 high. The other guy had 9 high too, but sadly Vt's kicker (i think it was a deuce) paled in comparison to his 7 or 8 kicker. But good run and nice cash sir.

  14. Glad that hand worked out in your favor at least, despite the awful play by both parties. At least you had a legit excuse Good to hear you enjoyed your bachelor party. As for being back to playing the cash games regularly again, I might have spoken too soon. Seems like a lot of shit keeps trying to get into the way of my return to the felt in AC. I am not going to go into the details now, but until the situation resolves itself I will be living vicariously through you guys. Should make for a pretty epic post once I do reveal all that is going on. It will probably be the first post of my
  15. 7s7c, how was your bachelor party? Any good stories to share?
  16. Not nearly what he deserves for his actions, but at least it annoyed him. It is a start.
  17. One of my friends (who doesn't play poker seriously, but I taught him some of the basics a couple years back) has been getting on me to go up to CT to hang out. He said that when I get up there we should hit up the Mohegan Sun to gamble. However, my inclination when I go up there would be to hit up Foxwoods. The difference in driving times from his place is largely negligible for all intents and purposes. If I am trying to play cards, am I wrong to prefer to hit the Fox? Anyone been to both and can compare/contrast their poker rooms? Do they both have a good amount of action going at the
  18. Nice, I should be settled into my new job by then. Might be able to sneak in one of the 340s or a 230 turbo. You don't start with many chips in either, though the levels are 50 minutes long (in the non-turbo) at least. I should definetely be back to playing cash regularly by that time at least. They hold these in their ballroom like the Borg does I assume? Have only been in Caesars' poker room once and if the crowds are half the size of the Winter Open, it definetely won't cut it.
  19. I do apologize that the music they chose for it is terrible.

  21. I saw Rice is going to make it via this thread, but I haven't look it up beyond that. Obviously Jerry is locked in for one spot out of the 5, as he is the best WR to play the game ever without question.
  22. Are you still bringing that up now that you have won the Super Bowl? Honestly? Suggs' comments were blown so far out of proportion its not even funny. When there was all that "bounty" talk it obviously wasn't meant to be taken literally. Naturally the media saw something that would make good headlines considering there is no love lost between the two teams, and shook the hornets' nest. Suggs was an idiot in the first place for saying it. I thought Hines Ward's comments during his PTI interview were hilarious were he brought out the NFL rulebook's stipulations on it. I don't like him bec
  23. There is doing your assignment and there is getting out of line. That is clearly getting out of line and he was penalized as such. I wouldn't say that makes James Harrison a "douchebag," but he got carried away/let his emotions get way from him/whatever you want to call it. If you want to keep him out of the play, just basically sit on him like most players do once you knock him to the ground. Punching a guy in the back multiple times then shoving him down and then trying to shove him down again when he has obviously no chance of making a play is not football.
