simon 2720 0
Hey guys,I just read Daniel Negreanu article in All In magazine. It was a Q and A type article that was interesting. If any of you guys have had a chance to read it I think Daniel missed the target of why the government put a ban to it. Daniel, along with most other articles, talk about the government shouldn't push morality and the such. I believe that is not why the government put a stop to it. It simply is the fact that they cannot tax any of that money coming or going over seas.If you guys want internet gambling back I think this issue needs to be solved first. How do we pay off Uncle Sam so you and I can get back online and play poker.

No source on that, just my personal opinion.

I don't believe the large bump in their earnings were from internet gambling shutting down. Poker rooms don't make all that much money based on the space the tables take up. Anyways, I was just wondering why Harrah's Because it was Harrah's padding his pockets. They run the overseas gang out of town, set up their own franchise. Poker rooms don't make much on live games because of overhead. But online companies clean up. The cost to run an online game is minimal compared to a live game. There was an article awhile back and I believe it was Harrah's that was mentioned, but the article talked about a casino offering poker over their intranet. An intranet is just a private, scaled down version of the internet. So, Harrah's could provide you with log-in info to their intranet (for a fee) and rake the tables you play. They'd make a killing. And Uncle Sugar would get his cut too.

Time will only tell.If these off shore casinos paid their fair share of taxes this all would be a moot point.
AceofSpader 0
It amazes me on how much rights the government is taking away from us.Someone has to overthrow the dumbazzes taking away our rights. Before you know it, we're gonna be locked up for smoking a cigarette walking down the street. We all should write to our dim-witted president to grow a brain.Stupid azz hicks like him should be thrown, not kicked out of office.AoS
