Scotty5 0
Okay, so strictly speaking this isn't in a poker topic, but it kinda is. I'm having some issues with my computer that are hindering my ability to play poker online. I'm getting a little desperate.Recently, my computer stopped opening any poker site, AIM, itunes store, skype or any other program that requires the internet to run. I'm getting varied error messages, but they all basically say that there's a server error or simply that the program is unable to open. It's not a firewall issue. I thought perhaps it was my wireless router, but i've tried multiple connections over the past few days so I'm sure it's my computer. I know some people may get mad at me posting this here, but this is a desperate poker situation. I'm kinda itching to play. Help me out smart people out there?scott

James D 0
Can't be a problem with your router/internet can it?If you're able to post in here, I mean.Just give it a solid hit. Maybe use a shoe.
Scotty5 0
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. That's why I'm confused. I don't really understand why it would do it. Literally, everything isn't working. Skype, AIM, everything. It's weird and frustrating. As for my post count, I never was an extremely active poster, but at some point my post count was reset. I did have like 600 or so. Dunno.

I installed AIM, and basically what happens now is when I leave my computer on for like 15 hours or so, and come back to it, the Internet wont work, as well as any other apps. While its broken, try to launch Internet Explorer, once you get an error message that it cant connect, right click on My Computer, select Manage. In there expand Event Viewer, and highlight Application. See if you see any red X's near the top. Hopefully this helps a bit. You can also double click the error message, copy the contents, and paste it into google to see what the cause might be,
ThePhoenix88 0
I'm guessing you restarted your computer and still no connection? If not do it. Also do you use a bit torrent program (which one) and if so does it automatically run when windows starts.
