  1. I have been discussing this hand with another PLO8 player and we adamantly disagree on how to play this, so I thought I would see some more opinions. You have :clubs10: :spadesa: :diamondsk: :spadesk: UTG on a tight aggressive table. On this table there are frequently pre-flop raises and usually only 2-3 people seeing the flop when someone raises (personally I would find a new table but that isn’t the point).2 questions1) Do you limp knowing there is a likely raise?2) Lets say that you do limp and the CO raises pot do you call?
  2. I guess they are running a 10 strikes and you are out system ;)Results for the hand: I called, the A hit on the river and I folded to an all in.
  3. With the turn bet I was torn between controlling the pot, and trying to push him off two pair and making him pay if he was drawing to spades.I have found that a lot of players will call once and fold to the second bet. I have made pretty good money semi-bluffing a second time on the turn. I was thinking the exact opposite. Against a good player I may be able to get him to fold with a scary river. Against a calling station there is a better chance that he will still call with 45 when the [Ts] hits on the river.Mute: What happened to you over at 2+2, or shouldn’t I ask?

Do you lead the turn? If you did lead the turn what do you do with the CR?
  5. Overall I really don't like trips. A good player isn't going to be calling down with only a K kicker so in general trips are only going to cost you money. However it looks like this player was an idiot. What that in mind I like the turn check because it means1) You opponent may bluff the river2) If your opponent checks the river you have the best hand.3) If keeps you from getting blown out of the hand until you know if your low draw will get there. In this case you can use your flop bet as a free card play and also keep the pot small. After the turn check I would call most any bet (from this
  6. What he said. Unless he is s total manic, what does he re-raise your CR with that you beat here? The other major problem is, if you are behind you are almost drawing dead.
  7. I misread the hand a little, I though that hero was the first person putting money in on the flop. I would call that flop bet hoping to fill up but I would fold if someone pots behind me.Same advice for the turn: check and if someone decided they like their hand fold. If 3 people decide they like their hand then I would call.I did misread the hand but my overall advice to the OP was still good- Your hand isn’t as strong as you think it is- You have very little fold equity- You are on a draw that isn’t big enough to initiate fresh money into the pot. Why are you betting? Your goal should be
  8. What? That makes absolutely no sense. Why would i want to thin the field? I have an (extremely strong) high only hand. You have a mediocre 2 way hand. Your AA isn’t very strong for the high and you’re A6 can be a mediocre for the low if you can thin the field. In a large field your hand is very weak however HU you beat everything but AA + a card lower then 6. Chamonyx was correctly suggesting that you want to get HU with this hand.On the flop you need to check fold. The only reason to bet the flop is hoping to get everyone to fold and with the size of the field this is unlikely. On the turn w

  10. I CR the max on the flop. There are few hands that you are going to be behind and you have decent fold equity.Yes i pot the turn. Sluggo is right there are some hands that you are behind but on the turn you don't need to be ahead to make money. If you get a call you need less then 1/3 of the PE to break even and you still have some fold equity. But A:spade: 2:spade: XX is more likely and you are ahead of that.
  11. I have been thinking hard about that hand that 2+2 and FCP were disagreeing (A35J on a 2h 4h Jc flop). After all that talk about putting the villain on a range of hands I decided to do exactly that. I created a spread sheet that has a column for- "all" the hands that the villain could have- how far ahead / behind hero was to those hands- probability that the villain had that handThe spreadsheet can be found here: http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~sjaspan/poker/..._2h4hJcFlop.xls The point of the spreadsheet is to plug in the probabilities that YOU think villain holds certain hands and see what the t
  12. That is the one of the major problems with internet forums. That being said I bet the flop 100% of the time and I call the raise 100% of the time. On the flop your AA is vulnerable and you don’t want to miss the turn and have someone pot into you. On the turn your odds are way too good to fold. If he has a set and the nut low draw then so be it. Don't fold a hand because of MOB, that is what a bankroll is for. You are going to have enough PE to call here almost every time. The times that you don’t have enough PE will easily be made up by someone pushing a hand that you beat.
  13. This has boiled down to a pointless debate but I am new here so I have to get my post count up somehow I am in "few 2+2ers" who talked about hand ranges category and I am in the category of people who thought hero could be behind. This statement claims that there are no such people.
  14. I like the way that you played it.I don't hate the SB lead on the flop, he knows that you are a tight player and can only call that bet with a good hand. However once he gets called the brakes have to go on. On the turn I would check and see what you do. When you pot it I would most likely I would call.
