Legality Of Second Life Casinos?

Recommended Posts

I thought it was interesting too ... don't be surprised if the IRS starts looking into all these game currencies. Some people are making some serious bank off them.I don't play these virtual games myself, but one guy in my office said that there was one where a guy set up a huge bank where people could deposit their money. He had ATMs all over the place, and was offering interest, just like a real bank. Then one day, he just up and ran off with the money. Nothing in the terms and conditions said that he couldn't do it, so once he had a ton of customers with lots of money in his coffers, he just closed up shop.

It'll end up getting banned. The US Gov will prosecute the owners for promoting illegal activity, and once again all of our lives will be better because we have GWB and the moral majority looking out for our best interests. I'm so glad they are there to protect me from me. :club:

i has that idea for 2nd life like 8 months ago or maybe 6. Ive never played it but, my friend works for a very big company that sells computers and they were gonna start stores on there. I told her I should start casinos. But, once again my laziness prevield and their company didnt do anything either. I couldve made a killing or ended up in jail. Either way good times.
