I've Been Playing For Years......worst Beat Ever Today.

Recommended Posts

Ok, so today i'm playing at my home casino, Potowatomi Bingo Casino in Milwaukee. Waiting for my 3-5 NL table to open and am watching one of the other NL tables. There is this total donkey whos calling everything under the sun and hasnt folded a hand. I.E. called $100 pre with A 3 off and flop was 10 3 k other guy goes all in for $250 ish and he calls instantly with bottom pair and loses to raisiers AK sp. Very bad player and immediately I knew if I end up a table with him, I wanted to break him off.So an hour later, they open up a new NL table and I sit down. Guess who sits down at seat 3?? The donkey. So I sit tight for the first few hands, and then I pick up AA utg and raise to $25. I get 4 callers including Donkey boy. Flop comes down 7 5 4. 2 clubs. I lead out with a pot sized bet of $100. Action folds around to the donkey and he thinks and then calls. Turn comes a q hearts. I move all in for about $150 more, hoping for action. He thinks for about 1 minute then calls. River comes a 4. Board: 7 5 4 q 4. I turn over AA and he turns over 3 4 off to rake MY $600 pot. I said "WELL PLAYED" and got up and left.I've been thinking about this for the last 3 hours and cant see myself playing it any differently. I had the perfect read on donkey and just got unlucky. But honestly, I haven't taken beat like this in a long time.Did I make a mistake or was pure unluckiness? I think played it as best as i could. :club:

You played it fine.He hit one of his nine outs. This is no worse that him hitting a flush draw.

Been on the receiving end of much worse beats and i've only been playing live for about 6 months, had KK cracked by K2 offsuit all-in preflop ( this is the worst all-in preflop beat statistically possible with me at a 94.16% win preflop)
