Could I have changes my bet amounts or the way I played it so I would be able to sniff out the AA sooner? Once I suspected the aces should I have pushed h0ping for a lesser pair or try and convice the Aces that their beat?. Or was the check a sound move to avoid a check raise from Aces? Ok that enough questions for now.....thanks in avance for your help.

Honestly, I think you played this too soft. I would've value bet the river because donks at $5 Sngs will call you down with anything. With that many callers preflop, raise more on the flop, to around 250 or so. Honestly, there is no way to put that guy on AA there. He played it horribly, and I think you should've pushed harder on both the flop and the turn.

I think you both played this wrongI would have bet the pot on the flop and then been cautious against any callers. I would have checked the turn, most of the time the people that called a pot sized bet on the flop would either have the flush/flush draw or have AA. The Aces will be scared of the clubs, so if you don't take it down on the flop, you should be able to check it down probably.

wow, this guy played his AA passively! consider yourself lucky you didn't lose more!! As for your play, I think you played the hand well enough, i personally would have stuck all my chips in at some point, but i guess it's lucky you didn't. Next time though, try harder to hit your set!
