Ive been in Spain for the past 3 weeks and I will be here for 3 more. I was curious to know if anyone had played in a B & M here before or anywhere else in Europe, just curious to hear your experiences and the similarities/differences between the U.S. and abroad. Also, any specific casinos that you may have played at in Spain, Italy, Amsterdam, and England along with the limits that they offer would be great. Thanks for your input.

I was recently in southern Germany and while there were some casinos, I asked all around and none had poker. I hear Amsterdam has a lot of places to play, though I dont know of any specifically.

In southern Germany poker can be found in Bavaria (Bad Wiessee, Garmisch-Partenkirchen), Baden-Baden and Wiesbaden (near Frankfurt).Unfortunatly all those are 7-Card-Stud and the limits are 5-20 or even higher. Some offer Hold'em tournaments.A casinos south of Hamburg (obviously this is not southern Germany  ) has recently started some low-limit Hold'em.You can find Hold'em and Omaha in Austria. The official casinos usually have only limits 20/40 and higher. But there are a lot of cardrooms in Austria (Vienna, Linz, Graz, Kufstein etc.) with lower limits.Shadow

Gran Casino de Barcelona offers poker but I have never seen it in southern spain unless you go to one card club I know (PM me if you are in the malaga region for info). There are many places to play in the UK but they all (apart from Gutshot) require a 24 hour wait. You can apply for membership online so there is no need to wait if you plan ahead.

I know you're in Spain, but I have played at the Fitzwilliam Club in Dublin (which is worth the trip just for the parties and the Guinness). They tend to play mostly PL mixed games, both Omaha and HE. They will alternate playing one round of each. A very good game, but a tough one as well. they also have nice low buy-in tournaments with up to 3 re-buys.I was there for work, so it was a nice way to pass the evenings when I wasn't in the pubs. :club:
