morongo casino...what's it like?

Recommended Posts

I am planning a trip to Palm Springs, and like what is on their website about poker. Yet before I reserve a room, I would like to know if other people have played poker at the Morongo, and how impressed they were. Also, what are the lowest no-limit tables they have, and what the rake is.And if you have played in any of their small tournaments ($10 Buy-in with rebuys and add-on), what is the blind and payout structure. Thanks in advance.

Firstly, go there. Get your room now. Then read this post. Now for the details. A friend of mine got a room there, and I was lucky enough to see it. The room are furnished very nicely with flat screens and internet access with a lot of other very cool things in the rooms. As for the card room, they just moved it more toward the back of the casino to add more tables. The smallest NL they have is 1/2 NL (pretty sure... im more of a 3/6 guy myself). High quality chips, very nice poker room. Never played in the tournaments before, but I'd like to. Only thing I'd be worried about is the blind structure. In the card room they have pamphlets telling you when the tournaments are, the payouts, and the structures. When are you booking the room for? If you aren't going for a while I might be able to pick up some of the papers and let you know more information. Don't have much time to respond to this, but e-mail me at basspowervolume@cox.net or PM me if you need any more help.
