Also your immediate profile(in the left margin there) doesn't state you're American or where you're from. Mine states I reside in the UK. Sorry - culture divide. The truth is that in the UK, Marxists and 'socialists' proudly parade in the streets with flags and banners depicting the Hammer and Sickle, and Lenin's or Stalin's visage. The Chairman of the ‘Equalities and Human Rights Commission’ proudly boasted in 2003 that he keeps a bust of Lenin on his desk.Apologies to you and other Americans for suggesting that your leftists promote a romantic image of Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin. Or that you would be brainwashed with this nonsense. It's a cultural thing. I live here, you live there. I don't know what exactly goes on there. You wouldn't believe what goes on here...3) Re the usage of the word, again, it is already happening here in the UK and has done for years now. It will spread in the US as well. Even allowing for the cultural divide, it will happen.4) There are Jews here, and while they do not hold as big a position as in the US maybe, they will not stop the language being made in the US. re: 2) fair enough... I find that fairly shocking and appalling, though knowing the totalitarian bent the UK government has taken over the last 20 years, it shouldn't really suprise me I guess. Socialists and communists ( real ones, I mean) don't really have the same sort of foot hold in the states that they do in europe. I can't imagine a head on the desk of any american in any kind of position of power. The term socialist gets thrown around as a slur by the right a great deal in the US, but I doubt many of the people who use the term actually know any real socialists. And, any socialist that defends the totalitarianism of the Russian Revolution would be what I call a Stalinist, and a danger. 4) the jew run media thing is a joke, obv. I thought it would be funny to throw in some random legit anti-semitism in a post that was condemning it. Though, of course, Jews do have a disperportional representation in the media than their population percentage would suggest. My basic point is as long as there are rich and powerful jew, particularly in the media, no one will be able to throw hitler around in public as an insult and not get blasted for it. I mean, it will be more common ( and it is, somewhat) in the great white elvis country of middle america, where people can live decades without ever actually meeting or intereacting with a jew. But I think what's said privately is different than public spheres.. but then again, who knows.. the internet and internet communication is desensitizing people to so many things, so quickly, who the **** knows what people will be like 20 years from now.
