Denis 0
Hello, I wonder which tables you pick? I like to sitdown with around 50% fishes in 0.15-0.30 LH full ring in order to build up my bankroll. There are some bad beats but I am OK with it as long I take their money in another 95% However, such tables also attract more good players and they usually play very tight VPIP 15-20% and agressive. Its quite a challange. Moreover, there is not much to earn if there are 2 fishes and 8 good players. Do you have some ideas?I am also a tag player, however I like to check/call for draws on these tables since fishes and calling stations call anyway and are willing to give you a free card. Continuatons bets and reraises are good against tags but I found it rather useless against newbies. Thanks in advance.
RabidTortuga 0
Equity.Your post is pretty vague as to what you are actually struggling with. My best guess is that you are mistaking tight play for good play. While tighter players are tougher to beat, it it unlikely that they aren't making mistakes. You just have to figure out what they are and exploit them as often as possible. Remember, you're only going to be making around 2 big bets per hour on average playing full ring limit Hold em. The money isn't going to pour in very often. You're statement about check/calling with draws shows a basic misunderstanding of the game. It's not about folding people out, or letting them call. It's about betting or raising when you have an equity advantage, and trying to offer you opponents the chance to make incorrect calls or incorrect folds.
Actuary 3
I like to be the best player at the table by as wide a range as possible
Denis 0
Well, by tight players, I dont mean rocks or elefants (its quite easy to play against them), but tight, agressive, solid players. With 8 TAGs on the table there are almost always 3 players on the flop or a heads up against fish. I managed to steal some blinds with marginal cards from tags but it doesnt makes any sense against calling stations. So, besides the blinds there is not much money in the pot , so I wonder if it makes sense to play at these tables or just stand up and seek another, looser table? Should I stick to the two big bets per hour? (Do you speak from your own experience or is it a general rule?) I tried to multitable, but since I am kind of new into realmoney, I found it rather hard to concentrate and made some terrific mistakes with my AK on both tables. So right now I stick to one table and make decent wins.By checking for draws I dont mean straight or flush draws, since I already get good pot odds there, but more unlikely ones like gutshots, pairs to sets and runners. Which dont make sense to pay for since they dont offer enough pot odds (even with implied odds). So why dont take a free card if they give it to you? Is it false?

Is it false? There's little chance that there are that many good players playing the stakes you're talking about, let alone eight of them regularly at one table. You just don't know what mistakes they are making. Of course, it always preferable to play at a table with a lot of loose action, but the tables you're playing are likely very beatable. As far as there not being much money in the pot when you steal the blinds, well, it adds up.The 2 big bets per hour (or 100 hands) is sort of a standard. Very good players in very weak games can win somewhat more than that, to the tune of 4 or 5 big bets per, but that's rarely sustainable in full ring. If you can beat the game for 2 bets per over 10k hands or more, you are generally accepted to be beating that game solidly.

Denis 0
Another quick question, if you multitable, how does it affect your income? I dont think if you play at 4 tables you could earn 4 times so much. What would be a good number?
RabidTortuga 0
No clue, I've never single tabled. As long as your hourly earn goes up, add tables, when it starts to decrease, cut back. I've done 4 forever, and recently moved to 6 and actually found I played better (i was making too many moves), so it may change as you progress and move up in limits. Frez 0
To make up some numbers that are about right, if you normally win at 2BB/100 on one table, with split attention that may fall to 1.5BB/100 while multi-tabling, but on 4 tables at a time you will be winning 3 times as much per hour played. Not 4 times as much, but still a lot more.
