Zach6668 513
Open limping is awful, fwiw.I don't like the donkbet on the flop, either. I'm not sure there's a better alternative as played though.
sabes99 0
open limp is really bad, raise it upOOP, after limping and then calling a raise, just check the flop and see what happens, and you won't have to deal with this all-in raise...or better yet, if you had raised before the flop, he'd re-raise with what is most likely an overpair and you could just fold then
cubbybri 0
In agreement here. You must raise preflop.Do you know much about villain here? If over aggro, a check raise is a possibility here depending on his bet size if he were to bet.In blind battle, you'll see this raise a lot no matter what you are holding. It is the common, 'let's see if you really hit the flop' raise. If you were check raised you are saying the same thing when he bets. That's the fun when there is a blind battle. That is also the reason you must raise preflop, you really don't want to get into any of this with such a vulnerable hand. Kestral123 0
Absolutely must raise PF. Open limping here is awful as stated.IMO the donk bet on this flop is the best way to play it here as played. That's a pretty safe flop for your hand, and leading into it is the best way to put pressure back on the raiser without losing half your stack. Most players are going to cbet this hand in villain's situation, so a check by you and then a bet by him gives you zero information and leaves you with a much harder gamble if you think he missed. By leading here, you are putting him to the test and allowing yourself an easier decision. I take down the pot regularly with bets like this.Only comment is that I would have bet smaller. A half pot bet accomplishes the exact same thing and saves you a few chips. Fold to his raise obv.
