  1. I used to play on pokerstars and found that I was way up on it but still couldnt get away from the bad beats. Came to Ultimatebet cuz I heard there wasnt as many but I'm taking them constantly. Bad beats are a part of poker, they will happen to you at every site. If you don't like them, fold every hand. For the record you should appreciate a bad beat because poker is about your DECISIONS and making other people make mistakes, not about the RESULTS. This couldn't be emphasized more than by the entire strategy section of this forum. You will rarely find the outcome of the hand posted because I
  2. I really and truly could care less what everyone believes. To me, it just seems like the point of religion is to lay down a rubric for how to be moral or how to have the appropriate values and such. Of course, it means something else to some people, like they want to go to heaven or something, which I think is a little shallow to place blind belief in.I figure that as long as someone finds solice in what they believe in and it helps them in any way, I think that is good, even if I feel the belief to be misguided or incorrect altogether. What really gets to me, though, is when the fundamental Ch

  5. Try as he may, Darwin's theory was full of holes. Not as many as you might imply. True, there are problems explaining the origin of man, the origin of the earth, etc. Just because we can't explain those events scientifically doesn't mean that we should completely lose our minds and say, "God made it." Even if the direction we are heading in science (in terms of explaining the origin of man via the evolutionary theory by process of natural selection) is completely 100% bogus, I don't see how seeking a scientific answer to the riddle of our existence is less attractive than simply assuming tha
  6. I think it's extrememly close-minded to dismiss everything just because your eyes havent seen. Are you telling us that you have actually SEEN god with your own two eyes? I doubt that you have, you have probably had one of those experiences that ancient people had when they were unable to explain something scientifically, which thus led them to credit their experience to something that would neatly explain all of their questions. If we are closed-minded for not believing in something that we have seen no proof of, then what does that make one such as you who believes whole-heartedly something
