  1. The Red Sox wouldn't look that great either if Schilling, Matsuzaka, and Wakefield were all on the DL. We'll see how good the Sox look when they don't have their pitching lined up in the Stadium this weekend. Wang and Matsui should be back, helping the Yanks give a fairer fight.
  2. No, I'm a dude. I just believe in equal rights for women. As for the label I was just curious as to what my beliefs were called. I also wonder how many people have similar beliefs as me.
  3. I was born Roman Catholic, but I hated the religion. I felt that it concerned itself more with traditional than moral values. I questioned the random rules and why women can't have an equal role within the church. As soon as I was confirmed I left the church ashamed to be considered a Catholic. Sorry Catholics, but after I thought about the sexism within the church it's how I feel. For a short while I was an atheist, because that was the easy way to look at things, but now I don't know what I am. Now I feel that I would be ignorant to be either an atheist or believe in God, because I simply fe
  4. It's my favorite show, but it's regional.
  5. Our starter might go 5 innings. Woohoo!
  6. Yeah...the Tigers imploded during that World Series. However, the best team went out in the first round.
  7. The dynasty has been over for a while now. However, I think that it's a little too soon to be saying that the Yanks are out. If they are healthy they will once again be the favorite in October. Then, whoever gets hot will win it all.
  8. I have a hard time believing that you are Republican.
  9. That would never happen. Plus, a lot of your ideas create a lack of incentives, hence a lack of growth. Global minimum wage? Minimum wage is terrible as it is. It hurts business and causes more layoffs.
  10. So people who against affirmative action are racist? I get what the point is of affirmative action. However, it's hurting companies who play fairly and could care less about what race a person is when hiring them. Laws like this also promote that black people are different then white people. They are not uniting them. I wonder how many Democrats take this stance for no other than politcal reasons.I'm not putting up any money, but I am curious to see any stats you might have which show what percentage of the KKK or other racist groups are Republican and Democrat.
  11. This is probably undeserving of a response, but did you even read what I said? Just try reading the first sentence.
  12. Perhaps it is you who is suffering from blind devotion.
  13. I disagree with the Republican Party on a lot of things. It just so happens that I agree with Republicans on most issues. I'm glad to hear you think you know it all and that I'm suffering from blind devotion, because I don't agree with your political views.
  14. I wouldn't take that bet. I was talking about major political figures. I was not about members from the general public, which is who I believe you are talking about. Can you name any Republican Congressmen who were KKK members? If you can then you know something I don't. As for talking out of my ***...I'm calling it the way I see it. I don't feel the need to visit Wikipedia before I say something.
  15. Do these members currently represent us in Washington? I highly doubt it. The only person I know of is Robert Byrd. If you know of any other major political figures who were former KKK members I'd be interested in who they are. I think you are talking about registered voters who are members, but I'm not sure.
  16. Kind of like all the Democrats who were originally for the war, but now want to cut off funding? The Democratic Party is very inconsistent in their beliefs.
  17. Who has a former KKK member in their party again? In fact, he is the Democratic leader in the Senate.
  18. There is no point in having a race box. It's not something that a company needs to know.
  19. Yeah...my screen name is not referring to a shark. It's actually what they call me at the Klan meetings. Some other racist facts about me are my favorite athlete is Derek Jeter and I believe Jimmy Hendrix is one of the best, if not the best, guitarists of all time.
  20. Too late...somebody already made the joke.
  21. Thanks for all the support. I couldn't of made it without you guys.
  22. Whatever happened to Koop anyways? I just looked at his profile and he hasn't been on since October.
  23. I have not watched Obama debate, but from what I hear he is a great debater. I'm not questioning his intelligence, because he is obviously a pretty intelligent man. Whether or not he's more intelligent than everybody else, I cannot tell you. What I do question about him is his political views, the church he follows (which to me is more like a black separatist cult), and his ability to lead the nation. As for gay marriage and stem cell research, not all Republicans agree on these issues. -Gay marriage: I personally see this as more of a religious issue than anything else. If gay people want to g
  24. I agree that the justice system is flawed and some of these flaws are a direct result of the economic system. I personally don't know how to fix it. I believe that it's one of the flaws of capitalism. However, I believe that the good that comes out of capitalism outweighs these flaws. As for the unity and equality statement, that was a statement I made regarding race, not wealth. However, despite the uneven playing field, somebody with nothing can turn into a billionaire if they go after it. It's why a lot of people came here in the past and are continuing to come here now.Do you propose we bec
  25. I get what you are saying, but if you are black and have $500,000. That $500,000 is worth the same as a white person's $500,000. Therefore you are at the same status, economically speaking, as the white person. What you are saying is that the past impacts this status which is 100% true. However, the same case could be made for anybody, regardless of color. Should we take 19th century Irish immigrants and put them in a seperate boat as our English founders though? I know what you are thinking...African Amercians had a much tuffer time than Irish immigrants. That is true. This is going to sound
