  1. So my answer is: "quite silly." Sounds like me and my game. That's why Daniel is the best in the world, and I'm not even in his universe.
  2. Fell asleep early last night. But I've been playing some tournaments today. The most significant difference I see between PS and the other sites, 888 WSOP, Party and Borgata is the tournament structure. There is so much more play on Poker Stars. The starting chip stacks and blind levels allow for much more time than the existing sites. A big improvement.
  3. I'm back home from the hospital and feeling much better. I jumped into a $5 NLH MTT that started at 11:00Am here. There are currently 306 players logged in. My tourney is currently sitting at 27/51 players. Besides the NLH cash games there are PLO tables going, both H and H/L. Stakes from $2.50/$5.00 to $0.05/$0.10 There's also one table of 8-Game $1/$2 which has a 1 person waiting list. I plan on putting some decent time in tonight. It will be interesting what a Friday night looks like.
  4. I just shove. If they've got pocket 10s... oh well. And if they come from behind, so be it. I need chips... but no free rides.
  5. A Quick summary of Poker Stars in New Jersey. This will be shorter than I'd like... I'm in the hospital and people are coming in and out jabbing and poking me as well as asking me all kinds of questions and listening to my lungs. At about 14:00 EST there were 357 users logged in when I signed in. It's been a few years since I've played on PS, but the user interface looked somewhat familiar and wasn't hard to figure out al all. My biggest impression was the variety of cash games they spread. It's been a while, and here is NJ the last 2 years, the sites basically spread NLH and
  6. Thanks Bob, I had forgotten all about that. (Must be the pain meds) I just got a new 6S recently. I set it up and just connected. I'll play around for a while and post later with my thoughts. You rock
  7. Poker Stars is finally back, and I'm laid up in the hospital. I can't connect through the wifi here. I'm totally bored and can't play. And I'll be here for at least another couple of days. Sigh...
  8. I'm looking forward to playing on Poker Stars again. It should be interesting to see what they roll out and how much traffic they get. Every now and then living in New Jersey has its perks.
  9. Great run Daniel. There's never a good way to get knocked out of a tourney, but to me that hand seems a little more cruel and difficult to swallow. At least the $526K will ease the sting a bit. That hand dealt poker and ESPN a bad beat as well. Interest and ratings for the November 9 will be mediocre at best.
  10. He's chipping up.... I like the caption on the picture. http://www.wsop.com/tournaments/update/WDH/negreanu-trips-up-three-opponents/
  11. Just wondering... Is Daniel starting a trend in the WSOP by sporting a "Playoff Beard?" Best of luck Daniel. Take it down.
  12. So depressing to see greed put an ugly finish to what started out as a exciting and innovative idea to put some life into poker. A few individuals managed to reinforce the image of poker as a shady game inhabited by corrupt people whose only goal is to fleece unsuspecting amateurs. The payout is a slap in the face to any players.
  13. From the WSOP website: "After four colossal starting flights, drawing around 5,000 to 6,000 entrants each, Event #2 of the World Series of Poker, The Colossus $565 No-Limit Hold'em event is heading to Day 2. " They made it through Day 1. The numbers are still being crunched to determine total entries and how many advanced. Here's a link: http://www.wsop.com/...05&dayof=142054 I'm impressed that they pulled it off without any major glitches. (As far as we know.) That's a lot of players to accommodate in a short amount of time. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if
  14. I just started following the news. But I must admit that I like the idea behind the Colossus Tournament. If they can handle the logistics, it should do really good things for poker. Hell, I wanna play. I hope it turns out well.
  15. Another pathetic post from the biggest joke on this site. Perhaps when you have aged some more you may gain some wisdom and class. I doubt it.
  16. How did humans stand up to a computer in NLHE? Read to find out: http://www.wired.com...as-hold-em-now/
  17. Revel sold again(?) A helluva discount. $82 million for a $2.4 billion Hotel/Casino. http://abcnews.go.co...casino-29195314
  18. It took a little longer, but the time has finally arrived. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/18428-trump-taj-mahal-to-close-poker-room-indefinitely
  19. An article regarding the upcoming NFL draft in Chicago. There's a link to a Tribune article that may be a premium page in it. (My one guilty pleasure as a displaced Chicagoan is a prime membership to the Tribune. I love Rosenbloom.) But I love the quote: "there will be no taxpayer money used." http://thebiglead.com/2015/02/06/the-nfl-had-some-costly-demands-for-chicago-to-host-the-draft/
  20. I'm sure you're right Bob. I just thought it was interesting that this group claims their algorithm is: "incapable of losing against any opponent in a fair game”. Pretty strong words. Too funny.
  21. Unbeatable algorithm developed. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/game-theorists-crack-poker/
