  1. I think I have figured it out. lets see what input I get.some people say 10X the big blind is when you are short stacked.other people say 20x the big blind.I think the 10x is without ante and 20x is with.I have a good short stack strategy with out ante but I know I need more chips when the ante hits. and trying to determine where exactly is beingshort stacked on a ante situation.
  2. I know that you are consider short stacked when you have less than 10 to 20 (depending on who you ask) big blinds in your stack. However when ante come into play how do you figure that into you short stack formula.'I have a short stack strategy but one tournament i play in, the ante comes into play in the later part of the tournament like in poker stars. I feel my short strategy isnt as strong as in another tournament I play in that has no ante in it.Thanks

  5. I was watching the WPT 2004 dvd and something came up I neve really thought about being a new texas hold em player. the guy ask how many chips the other had. which i thought was a normal question.but the announcer said he isnt asking it because he count how many chips he has in front of the other player. instead he was making the player react so maybe he can get a read of him.. if he acts nervous that mean he is unsure about the hand.. if he hurrys he is confident of his hand.I never really thought about this before.does anyone have any other tricks of the trade to invoke another player maybe

  7. Like to talk about bankroll money management for tournament. In ring games the theory is to have a bankroll of 300X the big blind. and play with 30x the big blind on a session. if you lose the 30x quit.I havent heard any bankroll money management for tournaments. anyone have any suggestions.
  8. I played in a 22 player No Limit Holdem tournament over the weekend.17 players remain in the tournament.I have about $1300 in chips while everyone is about $1500. there are 7 people at the table. the blinds are currently $50-$100I am holding an A-Q offsuited. I am Big Blind.6 players called the big blind (which was me) and it is up to me to act.I figure noone has a good hand enough to raise so I decide to raise and try to remove as many people as possible. from it. but these people wouldnt fold on a couple hundred raise. So I raise $500. My tactic worked because all put one player. but this p
