  1. The only mistake you made was betting the river. You need to check call the river. Even with the Q. At worst, you don't win a bet, but if he has it, you lose 3 bets, or in your case by reraising 4 bets. When you don't have the obvious nuts with 4 suited cards on the board, judt check call. Another reason you check call is because if you check all of a sudden, maybe they don't have the A but will bet to try bluff and you will get the bet you wanted when you led out betting. I don't think calling Qj off in early position is a bad call. It seems no one was aggressive preflop. The AJ didn't even r
  2. How about you tell us what the other guy had with the 99 hand first?
  3. It happens buddy, infact, you want that guy to bet all in everytime that happens. The only thing I would put him on is 44 or 55, but since you had each of those cards, the probability of that happening is not good, it's possible, but not likely.I had this hand where I turned the nut str8. I was thinking how to play it in position when the guy bet into me all in for $300. Sweet, that's the best feeling ever, turning the nuts and getting someone to bet all in into you. Needless to say the rivered paired the board and made him a full house. The only what to play that hand differently, is to check
  4. if you keep losing to AK in NL you're probly overplaying it.... in limit, that just sucks..in a tournament, you have to play it agressively... but in a NL ring game, i cant stand the hand. Thanks Jay, I think I might have played against you a few times. Anyway, it's in limit, I don't like to overplay AQ in NL, But limit, you just call all the way down if the A hits and then you see AK, what are you going to do? The worst is when the AJ guy keeps raising and you know you have him beat, but the call station has AK :-)
  5. This is funny, because I had a run of about 5 or 6 times where I had AA or KK and each time lost to 44. The hand that I am in a rut with now is AQ. I have lost it about the last 10 times, 9 of which have been to AK. Now I know why Doyle seems to say he never plays AQ. Although I saw him on TV playing it a couple of times
  6. Thanks, hopefully we will get more feedback. What do you guys think of fulltilt? I know it's fairly new, but they seem to have some good promotions and of course the possibility of playing against the pros in some lower limit games could be fun.
  7. I've been readin these posts for a while and wanted to hear about which online poker rooms are the best. I have played on Party and hate it.I now play exclusively on Paradise, which I think has by far the best interface of any of the other rooms. Is this because I'm just used to it? What else do you look at when choosing an online site? I think there are fish at every sight, so choosing one sight that has more fish I don't know is a good reason. So what sight do you play on the most and why? Thanks for the input.
  8. Decided to join this forum, I like to read what you guys have to say, usually.Anyway, you played it perfect until the turn. You must fold the turn, because after SB just calls, he has Kx most likely or maybe even QT, JT etc. Either way UTG+1 has the worst hand, unless of course he has pocket 22's, but then why would he just call the flop.
