  1. having in played in numerous blind structures in tournaments over the years I'd have to say I generally play the same way regardless of the initial chip stack size. I find that if I concentrate on how few, or how many, chips I have then I won't be playing optimally.I tend to play aggressively and fast and I like to build my chip stack early. If I can't due to cold cards or bad flops etc, then I will adjust accordingly. I used to go into short stack panic, but recently I have made some major adjustments and decided to just play more solid and aggressive even when facing elimination from bein
  2. I'd like to thank you too! Ever since I discovered your journal I have been visiting everyday hoping that each day I return I'll have something else great to read. Thank you!
  3. yah i thought about that too. a show like the apprentice where the winner competes for paid entries into the WSOP and the 25k WPt championship event.... that would be awesome. Daniel could be like, i'm sorry, but you're FIRED!but that would be cool. let the players battle it out, do some learning and teaches the viewers about the game too.
  4. I do have to agree that alot of reality TV, especially the MTV genre, is becoming all sex and craziness. They pick the most outrageous people to make the best show obviously.... Still makes me feel better about myself for watching it sometimes when I can sit back say, "man am I glad I didn't do that!"
  5. I was happy to find that Daniel is also a Reality TV buff.... At least I don't feel as odd now since another poker player doesn't mind spilling the beans about his addiction  How many other people are addicts? My favorite show is hands down Survivor, but I do watch pretty much anything that is on and reality TV based. Real World Road Rules Challenge, The Apprentice, The Biggest Loser, The Bachelor, Fear Factor and there are numerous others.... I guess the reason I love reality TV is because I am either at work or playing poker and don't have much time to have social interactions outside
  6. This type of thing is happening all over TV; from football to basketball to poker. Really the bottom line is, as you said, the media loves it.Look at how much the NBA and the NFL have changed over the last five years. MLB has remained for the most part the same due to the fact that they don't allow 'bling' and they don't condone celebrations on the field that are not within common taste and respect. But look at the viewers for MLB, way down. Why? Because the viewers today have been brought up on what's fancy and hip in the sport. When you think of baseball these days you think of homerun
