  1. Since he played it exactly like a 2NL player chasing a FD, I'd have to let it go. A set or lower straight would have bet/raised before the river.
  2. Yes, I realize in hindsight 3-betting against that stack was a mistake. But assuming he's a full stack I don't think 3-betting T9s is as bad there as people are saying it is.
  3. My "read" is that LP stealing is much more common in 10NL Rush than it is in regular 10NL, and he's open-raising from the Button, so I'm assuming he's stealing. That's no less of an accurate read than assuming someone with an ATS of 60% is stealing when he open-raises from the Button.
  4. As a general comment, I don't think I've done a very good job explaining what I'm after in this thread. First, let's take Rush out of the equation. I just mentioned it because that's what I'm playing at the moment. But we should be able to use our stat databases to study our play regardless of what we're playing. Second, obviously specific decisions will be villain-dependent. But you can identify some basic leaks in your game by looking at general stats. For example, whether I should 3-bet a particular villain will be villain-dependent, but if my stats show that my overall 3-bet% is only
  5. Against this type of villain, shouldn't we only be 3-betting for value?
  6. Chin up, man.Poker can be a real bitch. Drop down, get your confidence back up, things will turn around.
  7. Yeah but Rush is absolutely ideal for clearing bonus, especially during happy hour. 2-tabling 10NL Rush I can clear bonus at literally 3x the pace of what I would clear playing even 3 tables of regular 10NL. I fully agree Rush isn't a great way to develop an overall cash game skill set, but you can still work on lots of the basics.
  8. People seem to be posting lots of strat hands in this thread, so I didn't want to feel left out...10NL Rush, feedback on all streets welcome.Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comButton ($6.33)SB ($10.59)Hero (BB) ($10.79)UTG ($8.64)UTG+1 ($14.96)MP1 ($10)MP2 ($8.27)MP3 ($9.90)CO ($10)Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, 106 folds, Button bets $0.40, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.20, Button calls $0.80Flop: ($2.45) 5, 10, K(2 players)Hero bets $1.50, Button raises to $5.13 (All-In), Hero ???
  9. If he's check-raising this flop I think we can safely assume he'd fold just about 0% of the time.
  10. I appreciate what you're saying, trystero, and the main reason I'm focused on Rush right now is to clear my new Tilt bonus. That said, I honestly don't know if I'm going to be able to return to regular cash NLHE because I just don't have the time to put in good volume. I do worry that playing Rush may have the same impact on my desire to play regular cash that trying turbo SnGs had on my desire to play regular speed SnGs (killed it). Regardless, though, whether you play Rush or regular cash you can still use your database to examine your own play and look for possible leaks. The only differenc
  11. I'm approaching my first 10k hands at 10NL Rush (full ring) and wanted to spend some time really studying my stats to identify some leaks. What I'd like to do is dig down beyond the obvious so I can identify aspects of my game I need to work on. I'd like your input on developing such a study guide, which might be very helpful for others who want to examine their play in depth. To start the ball rolling, here are a few ideas that spring to mind (we can fill in the details as we go):1) Positional awareness - VPIP should be low in EP/SB and increase toward Button.2) Aggressiveness - Small gap be
  12. Usually no, but they do tend to recognize when the flop is incredibly threatening. I'm not saying a pair+FD isn't in his range, I'm just saying I think it makes up a small part of his overall range here.
  13. You're probably right, there have been several situations where I've doubled up before reloading. I should turn on the auto-reload.
  14. Unless he's not prepared to get it in preflop with AK.
  15. I'm not so sure about that. Since I have the As, that would mean he limped UTG with hands like ATo or JTo with a spade. Those hands are not going to make up a big part of his range, which would also include sets, made flushes, combo draws, etc.
  16. I don't bother to use the auto-reload, probably because I like to have some idea how I'm doing in a session. I tend to reload if I drop below $8.

  19. You gotta be doing something wrong, it's time to really examine your play. Are you being too aggressive, trying to push stations off hands? That in itself is a huge leak in the micros.
  20. Yes for real. But never mind, I found it myself.
  21. Really? You 3-bet and then lead the flop OOP into 2 villains and he minraises you for most of his remaining stack...I'd expect to see a mid pair about 3% of the time there.
  22. But callling the flop also gives me the option of repping a flush if a spade hits on the turn and he checks. Since I have position, I don't necessarily need to complete my draw on the turn.
  23. Safe to say he's not folding a big pair, and if he calls with a big pair I'm a pretty decent underdog. Maybe I'm not quite getting pwned, but I'm a 2:1 dog. I don't think I have enough FE here because the only hands he might fold are non-spade overcards and I think people are right that my shove does look bluffish.
