Overpair On Flop, 5 10 Nl
Roberts2003 replied to Roberts2003's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
i think not enough people around here adjust their thoughts to SH NL cash games. full ring and SH are MUCHHHH different. -
4 handed, 5 10 NL. I have absolutely no read on the opponent. This hand also raises more hypothetical questions on game play such as what is the best line in any given spot given all the variables.Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $5/$10 Blinds - 4 Players -SB: $990.00BB: $1,015.00Hero (UTG): $1,140.00BTN: $219.00Preflop: Hero is dealt J:spade: J:heart: (4 Players)Hero raises to $35.00, BTN folds, SB raises to $125.00, BB folds, Hero calls $90.00Flop:($260) 2:diamond: T:spade: 8:heart: (2 Players)SB bets $222.00, Hero..........I personally feel this one of the biggest gray areas

Yeah thanks, he does play very tight HU

You guys want to here about sweet game selection? Last night I played Paul Wasicka heads up at 10 20 NL for 3 hours. Let's just say that I would play him any day of the week now.

I want to get in over 20K hands, make over 30K, and play more 6 max NL besides my heads up binges. And at some point, learn how to play PL Omaha starting at 10 cent 25 cent, although that realistically probably won't happen. If i hit a massive downswing and it doesn't let up, then I'll try to learn Omaha.

5 10 and 10 20 NL, depending on the opponent. One guy alone won 8K off me. It was pretty ugly. August went absurdly well overall though. So far I have made over 34K this month, bring my bankroll to $81,300. I'll probably play more later tonight, hopefully I don't **** up on the last day of August haha.UPS

it still feels like a punch to the stomach though, can't seem to shake that feeling.

I started playing poker when I was 15, online for play $ when i was 16, and then online for real $ when i was 17. it really is bizarre thinking back on those days when 10 cent 25 cent NL was a rush and making 20$ was an incredible feeling . just get a friend to transfer you $, not that hard. thats what i did.

i disagree with your last two comments. passive-aggressive sarcasm is very funny in my mind, and i don't see how that makes someone insecure. also, are you saying that people that DO care about the outcome of one hand aren't successful?? because this also is not true in any way.

Facing All In Overbet On The Flop

yesterday was absurd....

See I feel an extreme opposite to that statement, especially for NL heads up, but we can agree to disagree Zachary.

heres my month of august. i had a sick day today, lost 5K, then won it back and 5K more. again, heads up NL vs bad people is like printing $.

is it ever a possibility that my hand is so underrepped on the flop that the villain value shoves KQ or AK here?
-
The villain in this hand is kmoneyk10. He is very lag from my experiences with playing him. Anyway here is the hand.Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $5/$10 Blinds - 5 Players -SB: $222.00BB: $1,055.00Hero (UTG): $1,106.50CO: $802.00BTN: $1,941.00Preflop: Hero is dealt A heart A club (5 Players)Hero raises to $30.00, CO folds, BTN calls $30.00, SB folds, BB calls $20.00Flop: ($95) Ks 8c Jc (3 Players)BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $80.00, BB folds, Hero raises to $280.00, BTN raises all-in to $1,911.00, Hero...i played it backwards on the flop for a reason, thats not the questi

Heads up NL vs bad people is like printing $. I won $4,900 yesterday over 450 hands at 5 10 NL heads up and a little 10 20 NL heads up. Lost around $300 at 5 10 NL 6 max, so yesterday turned out pretty well for me. I have won $12,823 this month in 4,505 hands on my computer, then had 1 drunken night at my friends house on his computer where I won around 1.1K, so overall, I have made around 14K this month playing very few hands. Hopefully I can make a couple more thousand before the end of the month, and then next month, really put in a ton of hands and try for a big number.UPSBankroll-$61,

Strong 9 is back in action folks. I was away for the summer without internet for a while but I have managed to play around 30 hours on my computer and won $5,850 here and there, and a little over a grand at my friends house. My roll right now is at $54,430 and I am about to play a lot more. Strong 9 outttt.

i said 2 weeks ago how i hoped to make 5K over the next 2 weeks. Well those 2 weeks are almost up and I am up 8K. This monday, I leave to be waterfront director on a lake for 9 weeks, and theres no internet, which means no poker. im predicting i get massive withdrawal and start doing cocaine. i got my rakeback today for the month of may which was almost 700$.bankroll-$43,000UPSStrong 9 out

nice thanks, this sounds great. i probably will do something like this. now the problem becomes cashing out 20K without it hitting my bank or getting taxed haha. it can be done, i will find a way.

i dont really need any $ right now, and i am not going pro. I have 3 more years left of college that my parents are mostly paying for with me helping them a little. So I do have some time to wait on anything semi long term. I built up pretty good online in the last 3 and a half months, turning 1K into 43K, and I am scared to go on a huge downswing at higher limits. That is main reason I want to cash out at least 20K. I don't know that much about stocks or bonds or anything. However, I would invest in something semi risky if it had the potential reward of striking big. Should I familiari

thanks for making an actual legit response. im not sure what i want in terms of either CDs or stocks. I do want to invest in something that is extremely low risk. I have about 10K in a CD right now, but I just don't think its enough profit. At the same time, I do like how theres no risk involved. I guess I want to find a medium in between that. Lets say you (or anyone else that wants to post an actual good reply) are in my shoes and cash out 20K with plans to invest. Whats the game plan?

nice! thanks for the sound input guys.

I want to cash out a large portion of my online roll and invest in some stocks. does anyone have any previous experiences with this that they would like to share? any stock tips? what portion of your roll did you cash out?
