  1. Hi there, again :)PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is SB with T, T. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, Button calls.Flop: (9 SB) Q, 5, 9(4 players)Hero bets, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, Button calls.Turn: (6 BB) 9(3 players)Hero checks, CO bets, Button calls, Hero folds.I am really unsure/confused about the whole hand... should I call (or even raise?) the turn with no reads?
  2. Hi there, it's me again (didn't go bankrupt yet B))I have no reads, just sat down at the table and felt like playing KJs from not so great position (but still kinda okay, isn't it?)PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K, J. UTG+1 posts a blind of $0.10. UTG calls, UTG+1 (poster) checks, Hero calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.Flop: (7 SB) 9, Q, J(7 players)SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, MP2 calls, CO calls, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls
  3. Hmmm, I thought that my preflop call wasn't that bad. I know it wasn't very good, but since there are already 4 other people in I am getting pot odds about 1:9 (please correct me if I am wrong), and I thought that makes the call possible.Anyways, thank you for your responses
  4. Hi again, this hand was pretty boring, apart from dubious preflop call (but hey - I was a SB) I'd be interested to know whether I should try a bluff somewhere and if so then where?PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is SB with 9, Q. UTG calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks. I had no reads, but I felt that betting into 4 people is a bit too much without high card Q.Flop: (5 SB) 8, T, 4(5 players)Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, Button checks.Turn: (2
  5. Well, I am a noob but I was told to comment so I'll try (and if I say nonsense please don't be too annoyed at me (it's actually Actuary's fault )):Preflop call seems ok from BB.Flop c/r seems natural. On the turn I'd get alarmed by button raising all the time (any reads?), but it's probably too late to get out...
  6. Thanks for your replies pokerplayer24, cdddc75, Zach, Briguy and Actuary.Zach: In the third hand I thought I should fold if anyone bets the river but I don't know whether I would really do it. ( I was up against 99 and TT by the way, noone had the Jack )One more question - should I post in different threads or different posts in one thread next time? (you know, I'd really hate to mess it up again ).PS: I hope you aren't annoyed by my overuse of smileys , but I really love them.
  7. Hi Actuary,I am sorry for messing up , I didn't want to pollute the forum with three separate threads, and now, since pokerplayer24 responded (thank you ), it would probably only make more mess. :unsure:But next time I will post each hand in a separate thread (and will try not to post that many hands, but the problem is that there are way too many things I don't know )
  8. Hi again, this time I decided to (only ) post these three hands:Hand 1:PokerStars 0.10/0.20 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Preflop: Hero is UTG with A, A. Hero raises, 6 folds, SB calls, BB calls.Flop: (6 SB) T, 7, K(3 players)SB checks, BB bets, Hero calls, SB calls. Here hero thought that his hand is good enough and didn't really want to scare opponents (especially SB) with a bet. Later he regretted it when there was a straight draw on the board. Should he have raised?Turn: (4.50 BB) J(3 players)SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, S
  9. Yeah, someone was just talking to me, I didn't pay much attention and I noticed just as I was clicking I left it there as a test whether anyone would notice - good spot I understand, I just thought that they both seemed rather weak now so that I could steal the pot (but it didn't really work ).I read through your comments two times already and I will read it at least once more... thanks A LOT
  10. Thanks to everyone (Zach and especially Actuary) for the feedback! I see, the odds are good enough. To explain my reasoning: someone has a pair (higher than 6) now, the flush is about 1/20 (just calculated approximately) and there are 3 aces that could win it for me, but I still didn't feel confident as everyone seems to play every ace and they would have a better kicker. Oh yes, I still need to learn to check-raise... I see, only one person in and it's a raise, I tend to overvalue KJo. I am unable to follow you here, why is either HU or multiway better than 3-4 handed? I seriously consid
  11. Hi there,I am newbie both to poker and this forum (but I really like the well organized structure and I hope I didn't mess up by posting to a wrong one )I've played a few hundred (maybe even thousand) hands so far, read a few articles and have some understanding of basic principles (I hope )However, I lost quite a big part of my bankroll recently (I had built it practically from zero by borrowing $2 from a friend ), and I am unsure what the cause is as I used to win much more easily.I hope it's ok to post hand history from two of my recent sessions (barely broke even in the first one and lost
