  1. if you don't plan on calling all-ins w/this AKsuited, you're going to end up finding yourself pushing all in w/JKoff (hee i'm so funny ). It's a turbo sng, might as well make your stand here. You just don't have that many chips left and the blinds are going up fast, you have to call.
  2. bet pf -I always force action if I have position on someone + they don't know if I have a strong hand or notRaise flop - if he 3 bets, I'd foldI would've raised the river - you hit trips! come on! It's unlikely he has a backdoor flush or the J
  3. why? did you end up calling down someone who had A high?
  4. I'm still learning short handed as well but if I were you, I would've called his re-raise on the turn and call river because he's showing strength twice to a check-raise - I also won't fold because I don't want to let go of AA incase he has QQ or KK - but nevertheless, you check-raised him twice and he's still raising it up so mb he hit a set or has 2 pair
  5. I would've raised the flop, if he 3 bets, then I would call and painfully fold QQ on the turn if he bets out. Otherwise I bet the turn if he checks.

  8. at this level, they tend to call down w/a weak ace
  9. you don't need an alienware. I like Dell because they tend to have great deals. As for video cards, you definitely don't need a high end card, think about it, you're playing POKER, you're not off in some world killing aliens :PI'd watch www.slickdeals.net - from time to time I see some really good deals on laptops, ones w/geforce6800 cards (which is really damn nice for about 1.1k)So, just focus on getting a laptop w/like 3ghz, 1 gig of ram, and as for hard drive, even 40 gigs is fine - unless you want to play some other games, listen to music, and d/l a lot of porn. I have 27.8k of hands log

  11. so is my reasoning for 3 betting correct then? Since he capped and bet on the turn, wouldn't the play be to fold most of the time since he's showing a lot of strength?
  12. thank you for your input, this really helps :)oh but everyone else, thank you for your comments as well

Or call down to riv
  14. then I can always bet, and because I only called on the flop, can he really give me credit for a strong hand if I bet w/position?
  15. well, I 3 bet because I felt that if I have a drawing hand, why not just put more money in the pot preflop so that if I hit a draw, I might get paid off big, while if I miss, I can just let it go.So my question is, is that type of play -ev in the long run? I didn't 3 bet to make anyone fold pf. Let's say you have Ax suited, would you do the same w/a possible nut flush draw?
  16. i wanted to keep SB in there since he kept checking so I figure if I cold called, there's a chance he'd call on the river again. If I raised the turn, sb would probably fold while utg may call, but also may fold on the river, no? I'd lose an extra bb there.

  19. oh, so check-raising flop and betting to river is fine? (If he calls the turn and you miss the river, don't you have to fire one more bullet?)
  20. but even if i check raise the flop, if i check the turn, wouldn't he go ahead and bet it anyway?
