  1. Pretty sure Ron is just trying to see how long he can fake this.
  2. I hadn't seen that because I actually only go to Deadspin when I see an interesting article tweeted out. I heard someone say that the Marines have a strict no hazing policy. Has that worked out for them or do they just do a better job at keeping it quiet? Downey and Dawson notwithstanding.
  3. How do you know what you're talking about?
  4. Shit, I forgot to write down who voted for whom. Anyway... 5. That's good work by Fake Turd, even matching up birthdays. SuitedAces21 isn't respecting the birthday thread. I suggest we ban him.
  6. I don't think that. But they knew Martin and his lawyers were preparing documents that will go into detail about everything that happened. And if you're out here vehemently denying it and then the truth comes out, that's going to be a whole lot worse for you. Like Rafael Palmeiro wagging a finger at Congress or Ryan Braun's press conference blasting everyone (the first one anyway). Obviously I don't know what really went on in there, but it seems like their best course of action would be to do what the front office types are doing. "We can't comment on an ongoing investigation."
  7. Right, lineup construction is simple. You want your best hitters batting the most times. Traditionally your best hitters hits 3rd, but now the analytics crowd is saying he should really be hitting 2nd, even if he's a power guy. I think he was probably put in the 3rd slot originally because RBI's. You need that guy after a couple batters so he can drive in runs. But like you said, once you start flowing through the lineup, it doesn't matter as much. Get him up earlier and more often.
  8. The video is gone; what was it?
  9. Haha. You just need to convince them that online dating is a great option and the stigma previously attached to it is basically gone.
  10. This guy: Is the IE vote a hockey thing?
  11. I guess we're in the "dig up old dirt about all relevant parties" stage. But this headline still made me laugh: Richie Incognito Was Accused Of Rubbing His Junk On A Woman Last Year
  12. I changed my vote to Theraflu since Quack at least showed up.
  13. The season's worst called balls, or why catchers matter to balls and strikes. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-seasons-five-worst-called-balls/ This pitch was 1.5 inches from the center of the strike zone.
  14. I know. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/81567/nba-shootaround-setting-the-pace In case you haven’t yet noticed, Warriors Iggy is the best version of Iggy. He’s not a woefully miscast first option (like in Philadelphia). He’s not just one cog in a machine of equal parts (like in Denver). Nope. Now he’s the ultimate fill-in-the-blanks guy and destroyer of worlds he was always meant to be. It’s manifest destiny. Iguodala was meant to make ridiculous on the fast break. He was meant to run with David Lee. He was meant to guard three positions, to only tak
  15. But now you've got your 6th or 8th or whatever best hitter batting 3rd. It's an interesting idea for a team like the Red Sox playing in a NL park when they weren't planning on playing Ortiz in the field.
