Standard, 4 way pot with the current nuts for high and 2 to a low on board. If two high cards come, you take 3 stacks. There are tons of combinations (most taht dont include a 5) that come on the turn and river that give you half of a 4 way all in which is huge.Allow me to illustrate:http://twodimes.net/h/?z=2072856You have 32% equity on a 4-way all in (would be much higher if you had say a spade redraw for a flush). So if you are playing 100$ PL (for simplicity) and you all get it in for 100$ each, you will end with 128$ on average. This is a somewhat high variance play (as you found out) and an argument can DEFINITELy be made for check/calling the flop and pushing any card 9 or higher, but with 4 people in the pot, you likely have 2 or 3 drawing for lows, and someone who has a worse high than you in the hand, and it is very +EV to get the money in right away. The fact that the pot is played 4 way is key.

nope fine push. 4 way in this kind of hand they will all be blocking eachothers outs quite often.heads up top set is tricky on that board. usually wait until turn to get crazy. but even then a push isnt usually horrible its usually a coin flip.

I usually don't raise my aces without a low or suited ace. am I in the wrong on this?edit: sorry for this general question in your thread
Out of position, raising this preflop is asking for trouble with no low potential. Late position, pot raises are okay, IMO.As for the original post. This is fine for a 4 way all-in.
