Most of this was played 40BB deep buyins.
Why?I would say if you are doing this then vpip ~ pfr. You aren't deep enough for most speculative hands, even set mining with small pairs, So you should be raising or folding."Att to steal" is the steal attempt correct? This could be a fair bit higher.

Why?
I'm playing short for three reasons. First was total bankroll. I was really only rolled for the limit underneath ($2NL when playing $10NL, $10NL when playing $25). It's true the variance is higher when shortstacking because I'm going to ship in the stack more often, but I felt the softness of the games allowed me to overcome this barring a hugely bad run which I luckily avoided until after running well (reverse order I drop obv). I wanted to generate more in terms of actual $ instead of ptBB/100 so I felt a sacrifice of a few BB's on the winrate was worth the $'s per BB being higher.Second was the unique structure of AP/UB's lower limits. A lot of players, and most regulars are buying in initially for 200BB. So often times I will run into a huge mathematical advantage that my short stack supplies. For more in depth discussion of this particular anomoly please see the section starting at page 199 on Sklansky's No Limit Holdem Theory and PracticeThirdly, I am making a transition from mostly tournament/sng play to cash games. I felt that having a more tourney esq stack size would allow me to feel more comfortable when making the transition.

If you are going to short stack do it with the minimum buy in of 20bbs which you can play more of a push fold style. 40bbs is not really a short stack and it's going to get you into awkward spots it gives you no advantages but it does give you disadvantages in comparison to a 20bb stack. I dont really know anything about SSS but your vpip and pfr should be much closer if not identical but no idea what close to optimal stats should be like.

Too loose pf, you should prob never flat call or limp, I'd think shortstacking you'd want to play about 15/15 or a little tighter to apply the most pressure. I'd also be playing 20bbs deep if I was shortstacking.
