enough is enough....right?

OK I am really upset right now, but unlike normal I am just upset at the flat out BAD luck I have had over the past few days. Last night I was playing a $50, 30 person, NL Hold Em tournmanet, paying the winner $650. Down to final 10 and I pick up 8-8 under the gun. Blinds were 300/600 and I had around 4K in front of me. I raised and made it 1200 to go, and was called only by the big blind. Flop comes down K-8-7 rainbow. Big blind checks, and I push all-in with my set of 8's. Big blind thinks for 3 or so minutes and says "well I guess I need to call" he was down to around 2500 in chips at the time. He turned over K-9. At this point I am already thinking about the next hand and moving into the money. Next card comes out J, and of course the next card is a 10 giving him the straight to punish my set of 8's. {Still fuming about this one}So today I decide to move on and play a little online. 5-.50 SNG NL tournies are my thing on Poker Room. Down to final 4 and pick up 7-7. I was the short stack at this point so I decide to move all in against only the possible call of the big blind. He calls me with 5-5 and the flop brings down a 7-6-4. Turn brings a J, and you guessed it the river brings the 8 again sinking my set of 7s.....I just don't know what to do. My luck is just running real bad right now. Any suggesstions?

Kick the cat. Punch my wife. Take a bat to your left foot.Just one of those things, man. Hang in there, it'll turn around, then they'll suck out on the turn and you'll fill up on the river.

Uhm, you minraised with sevens for a third of your stack. You should have been all in preflop. Of course the guy with the king had to call. Your bet would have been slightly less than the pot at that point. The second hand is pretty typical. Underpairs beat overpairs. You were all in preflop; the fact that you hit a set doesn't make it any worse of a beat. You want advice? If several bad beats are seriously hurting your wallet, you're playing for stakes that are too high.
