Depending on the size of the pot, you can fold after one bet on the river. If the pot is already large, you have to call down. If it's small and you've got 2 bets to call on the river you can fold, depending on your reads. If either one of them is a maniac or even loose, you have to call down. You can fold after one bet because you're either going to get 1/2 or 1/3 back and break even or you're going to lose 4 bets.

one guy was maniac, other guy was solid, and was well aware that maniac dude could be raising anything.THis non-maniac had the idiot str8 just like me.So for 9bb, do I call the bet from the Maniac (seriousl, this dude over plays everything. And for me to notice, it must be extreme) ?Do I call the 2 re-raises cold back to me, knowing there is one more to come?Do I just make the raises myself, if I'm calling them anyway (that seems like a logical idea) ?The other guy justified his raising the idiot end as an aggressive play. We all know he thought the Maniac had less than the nuts.please comment, because these plays cost me big $$$, but other times, I end up winning, of course.

Actuary:It's also important to consider how each street was played. Was this raised PF, did you raise did someone coldcall? Things like that. Just FYI, it's much easier for us to comment on hands out when you post the whole actual hands so that we can see the way the hand played out. PF action, flop action etc. In this case I think you can safely fold on the river if it's two to you. But, perhaps if we saw each stage of the action, we could figure out if maybe you needed to fold the flop for some reason, or maybe we could suggest ways for better determining what you are up against.Generally though, I'm agreeing with Petoria on this one. I'd call one, but then if a non-maniac is reraising, and it ends up being two to me, I'm folding.
