being "in the zone" isnt really the same as having one of those magical runs of cards like you only read about. Being in the zone would mean your making correct and amazing reads on every single hand. good run of cards is just luck. monkeys could make profit with good cards
My monkey makes a buttload. Where did you buy yours if I might ask?

No we are not assholes. You are on a good run and you want to brag. You need a reality check. By your own admission you have been playin censored cards. Let me know when all your reads are correct but you continue to get sucked out on or you continue to make good decisions but lose anyway, etc. We are happy you are on a rush, but you have to understand that confidence level in poker is bi-polar. One minute you are making sick reads or are outplaying your opponent and the next every decision you make blows up in your face. I'm sure we'd be happy to look at some hands in strat to see just how "in the zone" you really are. Otherwise I'll assume that you are just running good.
I am not running any better or worst then I have for the past couple of years. I was running good on both the days I am talking about (one actually better than the other). Do I have to share my poker record with you so that you take my post seriously? Just because I never post on this forum- that means I am new to the game, I am reckless, I don't read about poker, I don't study hands, I get my money in with the worst of it, I don't understand odds and I am a braggart. Is that what you are insinuating?

I have been thinking about a couple of games over the last few months. The more I think about it, the more it was like I was in that "zone" that athletes talk about. One day I had a unbelieveable run of cards for 2+ hours! It was like I knew I would win 2 out of 3 hands. I got to a point where I would play less than great starters and still make the best hand, over and over.Another time, I was playing a low limit game where I isolated a couple of players at my table and I was able to do whatever I wanted against them and took about 75% of their stacks.Has anyone else experienced that? Is it something that comes when you get better or just pure luck?
The above is probably what got me thinking this way. Yes please post that run of hands you are talking about. Also you asked the above bolded question. Did you want an answer to that? Or were you just kidding? We were trying to answe then you got offended that we did not assume you were the next big thing. Remember unless I am proven otherwise why should I believe you are a good player. THe vast majority are not and your post certainly doesn't sway me.

I am not a good player; pretty bad actually. So bad, that I don't keep hand logs at the casino. So bad, that I actually would think about trying to learn from those more experienced than myself. I officially remove myself from the category of the next big thing. Thank you for your replies. I don't need to be proven otherwise to see your obvious dominance over me. I think your 532 posts in the last 2 months are just a small evidence of that. Your hard work and dedication to poker and this message board are greatly appreciated. I wish you the best of luck in the future. Thanks again.
