SuperJon 175
Got bored. Downloaded PS on my computer. I know you can't play for real money if you live in the states, but you can still watch the cash games. Then I saw you can purchase play money. That's right. For $5, you can be the proud owner of 1.5M in play money chips. But why? I didn't really look into it. Is there any incentive?
FCP Bob 1,320
I think it allows people into some of the higher buyin play money tourneys and games where in theory the competition will be a bit better to practice against. Plus the same reason that people buy extra weapons and other things in free to play video games.
mrpaddyx 13
From what I understand there is strong underground level of games based on Play Chips (you won't find it listed in the Yellow Pages). Something to do with not having to pay rake and also keep it away from prying eyes.
