6th Place 5th Anniversary Sunday Million Winner Disqualified

Recommended Posts

http://www.highstakesdb.com/2074-sunday-mi...squalified.aspxLast Sunday, Dutch poker player ‘zeurrr’ won a seat from $2 satellite to the special edition of Pokerstars’ Sunday Million, and eventually turned the $2 investment to a half a million dollars. Now, however, it seems that "zeurrr" is only 17 years old, and in the Terms & Conditions of Pokerstars it’s stated that ‘individuals under 18 years of age’ are not allowed to play and if false information is provided Pokerstars will not pay out any sums and can even proceed to prosecute the player.6th place: zeurrr ($518,402.33)PUKE!!!! Cant imagine this kids range of emotions? 17 years old, turns $2 into over half a million and probably not going to see it.If they seize this money, think they will adjust everyone elses payouts?

dammmit!I'm in chicago and not keeping up with everything obviously, but this should be the real thread since mine correctly states 6th place winner, where the other one incorrectly says 5th place winner.
i vote this to be the real thread as well , the poser thread did 'mis-speak' when saying it was a 5th place finish(o)OP , get your shit / facts right and you too can have a real thread.....

This disqualification has in fact NOT been confirmed by PokerStars. A number of articles and forum posts have been written to that effect: sbr forum post,HSDB articleFCP post :club: The problem is that none of these articles or posts quote or reference a statement by PokerStars. They all reference the same source - an article posted on mpcpoker:http://www.mpcpoker.com/who-won-the-500000-father-or-son/The opening paragraph of this article reads:Update: Pokerstars Holland Representative Simon Keijzer tells Dutch TV show Jimmy Jonker is registered as a 19-year old, while he is 17 years old at the moment. Keijzer declares that an under-aged shouldn’t have played the tournament and he will not be entitled to the prize money (March 9, 12.15 GMT).Although this article claims to have spoken to PokerStars, they do not link the source conversation. Thankfully, PokerStars *has* specifically commented on this article:

We cannot comment in detail on investigations, however this statement is not true. No decision has been made yet regarding this possible issue.
(cf. post 231 of 2+2 thread - PokerStars Rep specifically debunks mpcpoker article)So in the end, all these articles and posts are based on the same one source which PokerStars has already specifically stated as being false.CLIFFS: Pokerstars has still not released any official decision regarding the alleged underaged player's tournament winnings.
