Serious Question From A Beginner

Recommended Posts

ALCON,I recently started playing with some intial success. The game I play is 1-2 NL at a local charity poker room. The talent isn't really challenging and the action is super loose. After dealing for a couple months there I've noticed certain traits or tells on most of the regulars. When I play I just play ABC poker and am very conservative. Should I try to take more risks in order to exploit these players or keep up my current play? Also I see my fellow dealers trying to make moves against the same players and their success is hit or miss with failure being the case the majority of the time. Any serious advuse would be appreciated.

How you change your style if at all is dependent on the actual leaks/tells these normal tells have. If you only ABC poker to win at the table then you probably don't have to change your style much if they are loose enough to pay you off a lotI don't know how much more advice I can give unless you tell us what leaks you have seen

That game sounds alot like my weekly home game. I discovered long ago that ABC poker is the way to go. You'll just get frustrated with making elaborate plays that they won't understand & call all your bets with bad cards, yet they still take the pot.Good luck!
