I'm going to take $300 and play the $40 SNGs till I win my seat to the qualifier. I think that's the best route since the tickets are transferrable. Has there been any talk about strat for these? I've heard the play is really horrible at these events.

Some advice from elsewhere...--On Sats, the more players the better and the closer it is to the tourney, the better. Bigger fields and more desperate players means more players who don't understand solid sat strategy especially as you get close to the bubble. Typically, you always have players who end up knocking themselves out when they could have folded to the seat.

Makes some good points. Have you thought of what dates you want to go up?

I thought that the $40 sat was one table and the $75 was two tables, but they are both one table SNGs.I say we try to go up the first. We can call after work and see how busy it is, then head up accordingly.

Doesn't sound bad, except all of the qualifiers are during the week. What about us who actually have to work for a living?
The satellites start at 4pm and run till late. You could just say screw it and take a day off like us :club:

40 dollar sats are a one table satellite and only the winner advances, with the 75 top two players advance to the qualifier.main event strategy: build your chips early and fast and towards the money bubble/TV bubble the play is going to be almost always preflop so get your preflop game down. the most important thing i learned in this event was to pick on passive players and short stacks all day everyday.the event i played it payed to 30th and i busted in 32nd when tournament leader busts me (i had the 3rd biggest stack in room) on a AIPF coin flip. weeeeeeeeeee

Thanks for the advice. I may need to come down with something around that time. Anyone want to write me a doctor's note. LOL pokeritis?
Sounds like a plan to me. I'm lucky everyone in my office is out of town that week. WOOT WOOT!

You're the second person that's put it exactly that way. I just found out the 75 are singles table SNGs too and see like the better option to hit the quals.
