  1. I think all serious fans of poker were bitching. The Main Event will change, at some point. It will always be NLHE, but I'd say the buy in will increase significantly over the next 5 years or so.
  2. Mixed game tournaments is certainly the true test of poker. They have had 6 events in WSOP history. Look at the list of winners.Dolyle BrunsonDaniel (SHOE)John HenniganPhil Ivey (SHOE)David PhamScott FischmanNo Varkonyi on that list
  3. I'd be surprised if it weren't on TV. Funny how they have never had a buy in over 10k, and they just go all the way to 50k.IMHO that tells me the ME will be going up in the years to come.
  4. Well Harrahs is doing the right thing on both accounts. Daniel, Scotty N, Jennifer H, Jesus, Robert Williamson III will all be on a one year advisory panel as well. This is all very good news for poker players. The list of players that have a HORSE bracelet is a whos who of poker.here is the link for the announcementshttp://www.cardplayer.com/poker_news/detai...il.php?p_id=764
  5. Look at the 4th picture from the top.Does anyone else think they should shoot people who wear tank tops while playing poker?http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/

  7. Otherwise known as Jorge Arias, he's a well known NL cash games player. A number of people believe that he was instrumental in convincing Stars to implement it's 10/20 NL game (as opposed to the highest level being 5/10). and your friend beat a fine player
  8. Where is this tourney at on stars? Under what section, im having trouble locating it.
  9. Yes....Next time I see it on I will let ya know
  10. Just watched Daniel win the 1999 US poker championship on ESPN classic. Daniel hasn't changed much over the last 6 years. He showed class when heads up with John Bonetti. On a related note, I watched the 2000 Binion world open, John Juanda wins and Daniel is in the crowd watching.
  11. that was quickhttp://www.cardplayer.com/poker-tournament...290&screen=logs
  12. If they would put that in the bible, there would be no other arguments to be made. Just put that behind Revelations...I understand he made a mistake and thats harmless enough. I never had any trouble figuring out what he was trying to say. Annoying....thats my main point. I follow tournament poker as I am sure you do. It is equally annoying when you read a report, about a hand, only to find out the details are all wrong. This isn't an assult on matt, I would assume its ultimately someone elses job to correct such errors.

  17. Sorry i dont just "assume" and wont "look at the analysis without worrying". I read bad poker advice all the time and I question what I read, you should to. As for it being a typo, you write an article for the largest poker magazine on the planet, no room for typos.

  19. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_magazine/a....php?a_id=15214So what hand do we really have here. Annoying....He says for example we have KQs and the flop is Kh 9s 3s, then it changes without warning to the same flop but the 9 is a club....Ok that only makes all the difference in the world....Reading on....He says we have KcQc...like i said annoying
  20. Best post in the whole bunch. This is so very true, every poker forum you will get on you will have a bunch of experts telling you to play micro limits, when you don't have sufficient bankroll. For the most part, its solid advice. Here is a different point of view. If your $1000 bankroll is not able to be replentished, then play micro limits and only micro limits. If you work, or have some other way of earning extra money (money outside your monthly nut) then you can take a chance playing in the bigger game. I think you should play the largest game that you can beat. If you can beat the bigger
