  1. I just made the transition from NL to limit, I started playing the typical SnG's and taking a bad run from time to time. While there is more risk in NL, risk doesn't = skill. Its the subtle plays and deception over the long run that make limit more difficult. While you can hammer someone at the NL table 4 times, and then he's done, or in a tourney, all ya need is once, in limit, its a whole different ballgame, you have to beat them one way, then they might figure that out, so you have to change it up.NL you can make a ton in 1 play, limit you have to make a ton of plays for the $$$.Which one takes more skill again? Dismissed

  2. I judge it by folding equity, or at least my version of it, I'm still learning.Basically if someone makes a raise of 4x my BB, will moving it in be enough for them to back down? If I think it will be enough, business as usual, if not, time to start pressing a tad.

  3. A question I have is that I just got SSHE and a friend is learning to play, he's decent, but not all that great, I was thinking that SSHE might be a little over his head. What would be a good starter book, to lead into SSHE? When I say starter, I mean something useful, not poker for dummies or crap like that lol.Thanks.

  4. Clearing the bonus on Noble Poker this hand came upI wish they had a text system of hand histories, but I did take a screenshot.50/1.00 limit gameUTG dealt A :) 9 :D Call BB, MP Raises to $2, SB folds, BB callsFlop: 10 :D J :club: 8 :) I check raise the initial raiser thinking he might fold, he called, BB foldsTurn: J :) Not thinking he's strong after calling the check raise, if he reraised I'd folded, I check raised yet again, this time the pot caps, for some reason I wasn't thinking, but kept raising.River: 3 :D Lead out, he thinks and calls, thinking I'm sunk, then the pot is pushed to me for a nice 13.5 BB win.Since even though it went to SD the history never told me what he had, what do you think he was holding?

  5. I was at that casino with the wife and her sister, all I can say is don't play blackjack there. They have an ante of .50 for every hand, so the house has a bigger advantage on top of the normal odds.I didn't get a chance to play poker, due to the chance of one of my extremely ong sessions the wife dreads.

  6. I know this, and thought about it, and realize that its trivial, but I've never been one to not offer compsation for something I benefit from.I also know for us Daniel's budget/finances are enormous, he didn't get there by throwing cash down the tube either. Running a website isn't cheap, and I just was offering to help out a little, I'm sure my donation wouldn't mean much in the grand scope of things, but I'd rather offer a little bit to help.Mabye its me, just never was the type to benefit from others without at least offering to help in some way.

  7. I know the bandwidth bill can't be small for running the site, I was wondering if there is anyway we can contribute to the cost of running it.I'd be more than willing, as I bet a few others would in contributing to help the costs of giving us a place to vent, talk and whatnot.Thank you for having the site here for us little folks, and send a PM if theres anything needed to help out around here :club:
