For NL you want to have about 100 buy-ins to be on the safe side, for limit, you want to have 300 big bets as a bankroll

Was browsing Bodogs website, and clicked on the poker for beginners strategy, hoping to get a decent laugh, not expecting a whole lot, but damn. This is actually pretty impressive. https://www.bodog.com/poker/beginner-strategy.jsp

I started with 50-100 about 6 times nowKept playing way the hell over my head, and now have turned a $100 deposit into about $250.The full bankroll is all over the place trying to clear bonuses and build it even more.

bodog is offering a matching $100 bonus for cardplayer readers, the stipulation is that you get 500 points before you can cash out. Here is their rake schedulehttp://www.bodog.com/poker/rake.jspHere is their point schedulehttp://www.bodog.com/poker/poker-points.jspSince I am still dealing with a small bankroll, (basically the $100) I was thinking playing the .25/.50 game will get me the 500 points fastest, with the least amount of risk involved.Anyone else have an idea on this?

He's on Full tilt now playing omaha

personally I play it 2 ways, trap someone with it after the flop, or never get to the flop.Playing the middle ground always seems to lose for me.

The Razz game on FT is fairly soft from what I have found
-
Gotta make every hand count there since you can get 4 hands in an hour due to the softwarefor me its normally not too fast, 3-4 days maybe. But I play there anyway cause its the easiest way to me to pay the bills. -

Ever been to Louisana?Its craptastic!!!!
Yeah, so do they. Theirs is playing poker. To that end, they play in tourneys all over the world for WAY less thatn 40 mil. What possible objection could they have to going to Louisiana to play in the largest documented cash game in history? Sheesh. The pros won't accept Louisiana...They want to play in Vegas because, well, what are they gonna do the rest of the day? Andy says he needs to be near his home because he has a job...well, so do they. -
http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...opic.php?t=6379There is a thread about it

From what I have understood, its roughly 30 tourney buy-ins
-
Stay to 5-7 hour sessions, when you go 8+ you lose, but I'm guessing you knew that already
-
Stay aggressive throughout

Impossible to cheat unless your comp at home gets hacked. The software you have on your comp is just a client, it recieves code from the server and displays what the server tells it to on your screen. At showdowns it shows your cards to other players but that is a seperate step altogather. The code which is your cards is only sent to your client. This makes it impossible (or damn near) for anyone else to see your cards.Collusion is a different matter.

I'm still fairly new, and this sort of view could just be my ignorance, but the way I see it is you're still on a draw here.Taking $2.75 seems decent to me, although we'd all like to take more, it seems like the safe play to me, taking it down right there.

Don't think its a betting pattern here, I think hewas chasing, and missed, not much you can do here betting wise, everything looks good.

Think its way too early in S-n-G to be pushing.Personally I prefer to take it easy the first few rounds, let the jackasses get themselves into trouble or KO'ed, then get to work.I would have played it similar, given the situation, but I think you're better off dumping it preflop.
anyone down for a fcp heads up tourney tonight?
