  1. Just finished the new "Broken Steel" DLC for Fallout 3. There aren't enough quests to raise your level to 30, so I decided that after I finished the new quests that I would create a new save file and go on a killing spree to get the level 30 achievements. I personally think it sucks that, if you have already completed everything prior to downloading Broken Steel, you have to resort to such measures to get them. It would work out perfectly if you were starting a new game, but since I have close to 80 hours in Fallout 3 that I currently have no desire to start all over again. This is the second most time I have ever put into a game, with Final Fantasy X being the first with over 110 hours of gameplay in it.

  2. It's basically a trading card game. You get a pack of cards to start with and you have a team. You play a few games to earn credits which can be used to purchase more packs or for buying individual cards. Cards consist of: players, coaches, training, in-game boosts, contract negotiations, stadiums, and a lot more. Your goal is basically to create a really good XI. There are knockout tournaments you can play, single online game matches or you can play against the computer, and all of these earn credits.I find it quite fun and addicting, but you can try it out for free for the first five games you play after you download it.
cool, I'll check it out then
  3. Eh, one of my friends at work suggested L4D, said I'd most likely enjoy that one. He said it's pretty good for casual FPS players
The reason I said that is that L4D is one of those games that you need a few friends to play with at all times to really make it fun. To me it doesn't match up well otherwise. You should still try Gears 2, btw. Go to Hollywood Video and rent it if you need to. :club:
I've lost most of my life to Fallout 3. Goddamnit.
That happens quite easily. As a matter of fact (I don't currently have a link), but ScrewAttack was announcing that a completely new Fallout game is currently in the works and to be set in Vegas I believe.
Yea, I went pretty crazy with that Best Buy sell. Has anyone tried the DLC for Fallout 3 yet? I've heard some people have had problems with it corrupting saves and making the gameplay screwy.
I have both DLC's currently out, and I just purchased Broken Steel but haven't really played through it yet. The corrupted save thing happened with "The Pitt" DLC, but was fixed almost immediately. I recommend getting both DLC's. Each one adds about 3-4 hours of gameplay a piece to Fallout 3, and you get some cool stuff after you complete each one. I don't want to go into anymore detail for fear of spoiling them.
On a side note, FIFA: Ultimate Team is awesome. Easily worth the $10. I've already played that mode alone for like 15 hours which comes out to about 5x as long as I played Operation Anchorage for the same price.
I was wondering about the UT for FIFA. Care to elaborate a little more on it?
  4. I would like to post more, but there hasn't been an interesting thread in Gen Pop for maybe a couple years now. I can only say GLGL so many times for the thousand rail threads.I'd even settle for a really bad thread so I could flame someone.
    FYP
  5. I'm just glad that Charles is gone. That man had no idea how to manage people, although the one thing he did right was getting Stanley out of his insubordinate ways. I'm a supervisor myself and forcing people to go along with your own line of thinking doesn't breed a good work force. It instead breeds contempt towards the supervisor and is a sure fire way to lower morale. You have to let people be who they are, and as long as their work gets done that's all that matters. You need to be firm, but fair with your employees. Charles going after Jim was nothing more than a witch hunt, and had no legitimate basis for the negative feelings he was harboring towards him.

  6. I really need to look into this since MLB's radio channel on XM has gone down the shitter since the Sirius merger. They have nerfed the programming, and let go the 2 people who made the made the most sense when it came to baseball...Mark Patrick and Charley Steiner. A few other talk show hosts were let go, Ronnie Lane & Chuck Wilson, but they didn't interest me all that much anyway. They also ditched "Fantasy Focus" which was a gem of a show when it came to fantasy baseball talk. The broke up Kevin Kennedy and Rob Dibble by placing them on separate shows, and I firmly believe that Seth Everett is the biggest dumbass they could have hired. Another gripe is that they completely got rid of prime time and weekend talk shows instead going with live games on the talk channel. Now XM already had channels 176-189 set aside exclusively for live play-by-play. That's 14 channels which means 14 games (28 teams) can be broadcast at once. Since there has never been a time when all 30 teams have been in action at the same time there is no reason to broadcast games on the 15th channel (the talk channel). There have been times where none of the games being played at a certain time have interested me, so I would find solace in the talk channel. However, they now choose to place another game on the talk channel instead of allowing another talk show to go on.XM 175, known as "MLB Home Plate", was my bastion of baseball talk since ESPN has their head so far up the asses of the Yankees & Red Sox that they can see out of their mouths, and Fox Sports is way too hung up on football. However, they have watered down the baseball talk on XM 175 that I am seriously considering canceling my account.

  7. Got back into Fallout 3 the last couple weeks. Haven't tried Anchorage yet but the Pitt was pretty cool. Can't wait for Broken Steel and the level cap being raised. It's funny I just started to think I was running out of things to do and then I took a better look around. I missed SO much it's ridiculous. Gunna be feeding this addiction for quite some time now that we are in our annual gaming drought.
you can also look at the achievement list for Fallout 3 for things to doalmost all of the achievements are tied to different missions/quests that can be doneit works great as a checklist
  8. I'm sort of liking him giving Jim a hard time. It's an interesting conflict and is reminding the audience that even though Jim tried to "grow up" since he's getting married and owns a home, he still really doesn't care about his job and aside from being a charming salesman, isn't all that knowledgeable about it.
It shouldn't matter how Jim acts, or how much he likes his job. When it comes to Jim his work gets done and it gets done right, and in the grand scheme of things that's all that matters. I don't see what Minor's problem is with him.
  9. Got Halo 3 last night after getting my $25 Gamestop giftcard from erewards yesterday. God I suck at MP. What is with the retarded jumping all around crap? It's going to be hard transitioning between about 15 days worth of COD4 and WAW MP playtime to this.
that jumping around crap is called bunny hopping, and is one of the reasons that I despise playing Halo 3 onlinewell that and the fact that I am far better at CoD and Gears
