  1. Like I stated earlier I am making a second play through of Mass Effect. Good god I have forgotten how much dialogue the game has. This usually isn't a problem, but it really hampers game play since it comes in gigantic spurts. The RPG is my favorite type of game, but this game's dialogue really wears on me. If the actual game play wasn't so fun I wouldn't be making a second run.

  2. Gameplay vids probably look slower than actual gameplay though. I'm sure once you have the actually deck in front of you, it's going to look incredibly different than just watching a video of the game.
that may be, but I'm pretty content with Guitar Hero and Rock Band for the time being
  3. Random Fact. Aerosmith was the only Guitar Hero I was ever able to beat on Expert. Getting back into Fallout before the next expansion comes out.
lol, I haven't beaten Aerosmith on Expert, but I have beaten Metallica on expert :icon_confused:I'm only one song away from finishing World Tour on expert but B.Y.O.B. stands in the way.
  4. Map Pack 2 for CoD: WaW is out.
It sucks that WaW is getting better support than CoD4 received. I probably won't get it since I barely play the game, and when it comes to Zombies I still contend that Horde mode from Gears 2 is better. Also, my 360 is back from the grave yard. I are no longer sad panda.
  5. I will say that isn't true. I am a guy who always trys to take the game to the ground and I don't have a modded controller. A lot of times what I try and do is just get guys to tire themselves out and then tap them out. I have had a few matches where I didn't even hit the guy once. But yeah I still suck at the game. IF any of you guys ever wanna play a player match send an invite I would be down to play.
I never said it was all inclusive. Also, I'm up for a player match although I would probably get my ass handed to me.
Seeing all of the stuff released about Mass Effect 2 inspired me to play ME1 again. So I go to start a new campaign as a character who I had already beaten the game with once but only got up to lvl. 49, and all of my save files have been deleted. I have no idea how, but it's really irritating because of the save files being able to be copied over to ME2. So now I have to play it a bunch and make all new characters.
You're not the only one who's started playing Mass Effect 1 again. For me it's the same reason as you as I also saw the ME2 footage.
  6. I just picked up Stacked for $2.50! I finally got a copy of UFC and I keep getting my ass kicked online. I suck at defending myself when I'm on the ground and it seems like everyone I play doesn't even try to stand up, they just shoot for the takedown.Strategy: I'm not sure which systems you have but the Best Buy in Lawrence has 25% off some games and the Best Buy in Manhattan is having a 50% off sale.
you can almost guarantee that people who always try to get people on the ground are using modded controllers
  7. What do you think of it, I've heard some mixed reviews.
Personally I like it a lot. The difficulty is insane, even on the easiest level. That being said I think the game is worth if you are a fan of UFC fighting. The striking system is pretty straight forward, but the ground fighting is where the game gets complicated. The only advice I can give is to go through all of the tutorials multiple time in order to learn everything. It's just one of those games that has so many nuances to it that it will take a while to learn them all.
  8. Picked up Punch Out for wii last night, it feels so good to take down soda popinski. On to Bald Bull :)Great great remake of the classic. Very similar feel to the old with some new stuff.
I have it also. Aran Ryan was a pain until I figured him out, and after that he's cake. Soda Popinski is like his NES counterpart in that you have to anticipate his moves instead of just reacting. He's tough. I have yet to beat Bald Bull.
  9. the xbox was pretty much given to me with the RROD on it. The guy who owned it was too lazy to send it in so he sold all the components except the box. The one day he just gave it to me. So my roomate took it apart and did a fix he found on youtube that wasn't to complicated if you have the right tools. The fix it worked. I bought a couple controllers on ebay (2 for 60$) and some battery packs from best buy and a couple games and were in business for cheap. That was about a year ago and now the blanket fix seems to be holding up. I'm obviously not worried about the warranty, it's probably expired by now and I have no paper work. The buddy who gave me the box feels kind of stupid when he comes over to play NHL 09, he's even talking about getting a 360 for himself again. sucker. :)The UFC demo is pretty sweet I might have to buy it.
the manufacture date is printed on the back of every console (so they know)as long as it's not 3 years old, and there are no signs of tampering then you should be fine sending it in
They have their shit together just fine imo. I had to buy 3 PS2's because Sony couldn't get their act together and make a stable console. A couple friends of mine have either had to pay to get their 6 month old PS3's fixed or buy new ones in hopes they get a stable system. While the Xbox360 has it's issues, M$ has done a superb job in owning up to it and taking care of it fast and free. For that they are tops in my book.
I had the same problem in that I went through 2 PS2's and my PS3's HDMI port no longer works. Sony tells me that it would cost $150 to fix the HDMI, to which I told them to go fuck themselves (actual quote) and just started using my component cables. Sony tried telling me it was my HDMI cable that was bad. I plugged the HDMI cable into both my cable box and 360 with no problems. Their customer service sucks.
  10. I picked up UFC Undisputed on Friday night along with Punch Out, and both games are hard. Punch Out is like it's counterparts on the NES and SNES in that you have to learn the patterns on the fighters. As for UFC the game is fucking hard, and has a huge learning curve to it. It's still fun though and I believe it will make it's way in to my regular rotation of Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Gears of War 2, and Street Fighter 4.

  11. Your math is horrible. Not to mention estimation of the lifespan of a gaming PC is way off.My PS3 = 500My 360 = 450My Wii = 250So that's 1200 just on consoles. Price of the gaming PC I just built late last year was just under 900. Nothing on it will be outdated for at least two years and even then I'll just be able to run a second video card that by the time will cost me another 100 dollars or less and it will be looking as good as what the PS4 or Xbox 720 will be doing and easily keep up with all current games for the next 4 years. Lets talk accessories...Extra Controller for PS 3 = 60Extra Controller for 360 = 503 extra Wii controllers + nunchucks = 180ishController and headset for PC, less than 50.Then we can talk games, the average new PS3 and 360 games are 60 a pop, PC games rarely come out for more than 50.Just to be clear: anyone paying 2k+ for a "gaming" pc, is probably retarded.
I didn't mean buy all three systems. I meant just one, and I should have clarified that in the original post.
Where the *&@$^^@&$^ do you live? I need to get there.
in Illinois near St. Louis$100K for a house here is considered expensive with the average for a 3 bed 2 bath going for about $75,000here's one of our local real estate agent's listingshttp://www.jackjohnsonsrealestate.com/defa...pe=1&id=395
  12. mine got shipped yesterday. they replaced it with another pro despite it being 3+ years old. it'll have been gone 10 days total.those of you thinking you're out of luck with RROD, go and enter your serial on microsofts website. there's a great chance that if you actually have the 3 red light ring your repair / replacement is free.i realize it's less common with the wii, but my friends wii died and it was over 100 to repair
mine's still under warranty for another year and a half, so I'm good to goIt just sucks that it died. I was playing Rock Band 2 and in the middle of making a setlist I heard a beep from the 360 and the system froze. I hit the power button and the red ring showed up.
which, as far as I know, still doesn't have the medic update due to size limitations...they've already tweaked the medic, heavy, scout, pyro, and sniper on the PCI'm okay with people preferring one style of play to another. I'm just pissed that I'm the odd man in the only online community I enjoy frequenting.
I just find it cheaper to game on a console. My brother is one of those people who wouldn't think twice about throwing $2K for a gaming computer. My line of thinking is that the $2K can buy me a 360, PS3, Wii, etc. and also afford me a hell of a game library with accessories...and still have money left over to make a mortgage payment or two.
  13. I tried it and realized I would rather chop my head off. I have been playing hardened and that is crazy too. As for shooting should really check out the training. It is a bit long but it does help. Can't wait game gets released in less that 14 hours.
After the incessant cussing that incurred when I played through veteran on Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4 I think I will wait before I tackle this one. Also, you guys can add my 360 to the grave yard. 16 month old Elite and it red rings on me. Thank god for my brother moving in with me and bringing his 360 with him. However it sucks balls nonetheless.
