  1. I also played Ultima Online for 8 years. I was a gold broker for MarkeeDragon.com for many years. I played on Sonoma. I actually have an account active still that holds our castle and very old rare items etc..
Lake Superior and Seige Perilous for meafter Trammel came along the entire game went completely downhill
  2. What does the 360 do online that the PS3 doesn't? I'm asking honestly. You can get HD and regular movies from the PSN network also. You can download content, plus you get a blu-ray player. Not to mention the fact that in a year or two, the developers will realize they can use all the extra space on the PS3 and stop limiting the games based on what the 360 can do. The PS3 will last a lot longer than the xbox, that's just how it is. The people that don't have both right now, will be getting both in the future. Fact is, the PS3 can do EVERYTHING the 360 can do, but not vice versa.
*Cross Game Chatting*Cross Game Invites*In Game Invites*Less Lag*XBL stays connected more often and longer (my PS3 will disconnect from PSN within 2 minutes of starting up without fail unless a game is booted)*Far fewer glitchers (glitching was rampant on PS3's version of CoD4 but not as much on the 360...one of the main reasons I sold my PS3 copy and bought a 360 copy)*Immediate game updates (the game will update during the title screen of a 360 game, but on a PS3 game it will require you to boot up, wait for the title screen, not allow you to update until you turn the game off & go to the XMB, updating PS3 games have taken in upwards of 10 minutes at times.)*Smart Matchmaking (which is huge in that XBL does it's best to pair you with other players of the same play level, and the game zone you choose)*Ability to rate other players (not just ignore)*Party up immediately (without having to go into to Home to do it)*Microsoft Sponsored Events (gaming events where you can play against developers or play against other gamers for prizes...Gears 2 just had one of those over New Years where the winner received a limited edition red-colored 360 with the GoW logo on it, along with free points to use at their discretion in the Xbox store) You get what you pay for.I'm not trying to start a console war here, and as a matter of fact I owned my PS3 for 2 years before I purchased a 360. Ever since that day my PS3 has been collecting dust except on the rare occasion that I play that baseball game that I imported from Japan. When it comes to online play Microsoft got it right. This however isn't all that surprising since Microsoft had years of experience (with the PC community) with online play before it even became available for the first time on a console with the Sega Dreamcast. Sony has a lot to learn, but realize that it's a Japanese company and in Japan online play doesn't have the following it has here in North America. It's going to take time, I do firmly believe that one day Sony will catch up but I don't expect it anytime soon.
  3. I want to buy a new system. I just bought a 1080p tv with surround sound. I didn't buy a blu ray player yet because I don't know if I should buy a 360 or ps3. Wii is out of the question because I hate new nintendo games. I like 360 because you can watch netflix instant movies. Which one should I buy.......was thinking of buying both but if history repeats itself I will probably play video games for about a month and not play any more. Maybe not but who knows.
I own a 360 and a PS3 and for me I prefer the 360. Both systems are great, but the 360 has so much more to offer atm. The online capabilities of the 360 completely blow away the PS3's and is well worth the $49.99 yearly fee. The PS3 has some good exclusives like Metal Gear Solid 4, but the only redeeming quality that the PS3 has, for me anyway, is that it isn't region coded so ALL foreign PS3 games will work on any PS3 console. However, if you are mainly going to play multi-platform games like Call of Duty 4 and the like then the 360 is the way to go.
  4. just used the "here and now perk" after i levled up which is awesome on level 11 now. I should be able to get back at the main quest now. edit- on second thought that probably would of been good to use on lvls that take alot longer to lvl...im such a noob ...
I have wondered that if you were to use that perk at level 20 would it up you to 21?
Sigh...Well after putting in about 8 hours worth of gameplay and leveling my character up to around 4 or 5, I just don't find myself enjoying the game at all...This was the first RPG (traditional or non traditional) that I've ever played and I guess it's just not my type of game. Like loosh said in this thread earlier, it's too complex for me, lol. I can definitely see how people can get really into it though. And tt has some awesome graphics (just walking around megaton was pretty awesome) and a superb plot from what I played. But I just don't have the patience for it.It sucks cause I REALLY wanted to like the game a lot, but everytime I played it I just found myself bored and wanting to fire up Cod4 or FIFA 09.I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to see the whole plot unfold so a quick read of the plot on wikipedia will have to do.Oh well. Gonna try to sell the game on Craig's List, if not then just trade it in to GameStop for a measly $22.
put the game on www.half.comthey are still going for around $40 on there...if you have an eBay account then you also have a half.com account since they are the same company
  5. House?!?! wtf i dont have a house. I guess im just a homeless drifter. Is it lucas simms house im supposed to have? cause he's dead burke killed him. I guess i should look into this because ive been stowing items on dead bodies loool.Im a big noob to rpg's in general as you can see. This is the first rpg since zelda 64 that i really wanted to get to the end of. Good to hear about the DLC.Seems like the only thing this game is missing is some type of online feature.edit- tip: for lockpickers if you have attempted twice at a lock just back out and and retry again and you will get a fresh bobby pin. essentially you'll only need 1 the whole game. (sorry if mentioned, and yes im aware it's a cheesy move)
Lucas Simms has nothing to do with your house in Megaton.
  6. RPGs are not my type of game at all but all this Fallout 3 talk finally convinced me to buy it. Plus I'm a big fan of post apocalyptic stuff (movies, books etc.)Found it on Craig's List for $40 so I'll dive into it after football today.
Fallout 3 isn't a traditional RPG. It's an action RPG in the same vein as Mass Effect and Oblivion called a WRPG (Western RPG). The RPG's that most people are familiar with are the turn based games called JRPG's (Japanese RPG's) which cover your Final Fantasy's, Dragon Quest/Warrior's, etc. While both types share some similarities they are significantly different.
  7. If you're not talking about blindz0r, then you definitely need to check out his vids. He's got some RL drum vids also. In fact, most of the best players that post RB drum vids on youtube also play RL drums (IBitePrettyHard, Azureitreaction(sp?) someguy913, etc.), so I don't know who is giving you that info.
that was exactly the point I WAS makingI have absolutely no clue what the hell you read into my posts.
I played drums for about 6 years everyday when i was about 8-14. i def think it helped me alot playing drums in GHWT. i started straight off on medium cause easy was stupid easy. i was on expert within 5 days. Whereas on the guitar i am still on medium and feel like ill never get any better. I can play the bass hard on most songs but that about it.It's like once I turn the guitar on hard I instantly become dyslexic and my fingers are all lost.
just keep at ityou will fail at higher levels, but keep trying...eventually you will get it
  8. That's really strange to me considering the biggest problem I hear people having with playing RB drums is being able to use three limbs independently. Which is something that you should be able to do with ease if you play the drums.
same hereI know of one dude that posts RB vids on youtube and his RL drum playing helped him immensely when it came to RB. It's also no coincidence that he holds many records on RB songs on drums. Learning drums on RB can help immensely when playing the real thing. I know when I break out RB at parties it's the RL drum players that absolutely pwn RB drums. Also to a lesser extent the guitar playing on RB and GH can help with the real guitar. It obviously won't teach you chords, power chords, hammer-on, and pull-offs...however it can help you with finger speed and muscle memory.
  9. So my office tends to have lunch together everyday and we tend to have some interesting topics of conversation. Well today's topic was nothing out of the ordinary as we were discussing college football bowls. One of my co-workers is your typical "Guy" or so I thought. I really don't follow college football that much so I asked What Bowl was on tonight. His response was the BCS Bowl because he didn't know it was the Fed-Ex Bowl. How Gay is he?A - Not that Gay who cares about college footballB - Somewhat Gay it is the main college and he did say BCSC - Extremely Gay every guy should know this answer
    A. That's not gay at all. The college football bowl system is an absolute mockery of what it once was. While it wasn't perfect before the BCS came along the bowl games used to at least mean something.
