the strat section is good, but what i'd liked about FCP was the personality of it and the general poker discussion, and that was mostly in general. u'd have to admit that 2+2 is quite a good resource for strategy.[yes i know i said it was my last post....oh well]

i had no intention of making a goodbye post but then i decided to anyway. the reason i left is because a few of the 'vets' often made this an unpleasant place to be. one such 'vet' ripped a post which happened to be a good post and his ripping was completely dumb and nonsensical. when i called him out on it, his dumb 'vet' buddies started ripping me [even while acknowledging that my point was right] while there is no doubt that if a newb had made the same dumb post that this supposed 'vet' did, they all would've ripped the shit out of the guy.in my world, just cuz u have a 3000+ post count, doesnt mean ur not accountable for what u write. if ur gonna be mean-spirited, try to make sure ur not being moronic at the same time, thats a bad combination. my [so far] brief experience at 2+2 has been great. the place is a gold mine of poker knowledge, and if there's any asshole 'vet-ism' there i have yet to see it. people address the discussion at hand in an objective way instead of it being a pissing contest for who can try to appear the smartest and most assertive. unlike some of these FCP 'vets', they dont need to try so hard to make ppl think they're smart. their points speak for themselves. [im not describing every FCP vet btw, just some.]the 'top ten posters' feature is not a very good idea. you've now given idiots like DrawingDeadinDM even more incentive than they already had b4 to drop in useless [and often dumb and incorrect] one line flames all over the place. if we werent sure whether they were successful in their pursuit of boosting their crippled ego before, they certainly have a much better chance now that this will result in their seeing their name on a 'top-ten board.'but at least they will give the site even more hits than b4, which is the sole reason this top-ten list was added. this is my last post. so the ppl im referring to can go ahead and flame. i will not respond, which means u'll get the last word, which, after all, is ur top priority in this forum, isnt it?most of you are cool people. i wish any of you that isnt a monkeys ass good luck and success.

Uh...the way you compare the competition is by looking at the same game/same limit in both mediums.aside: is medium the correct term there?So, you see, while you were making a good attempt at outwitting everyone involved in the argument...you actually made the least amount of sense. It is very possible to say which game is easier to beat for any given level (live or online). The answer is "live" probably up until 100/200 when it becomes fairly indestiguishable...I could be wrong about that exact limit where it shifts, though.To the people arguing about who's better, Live pros or Online pros, please stop, ur embarassing urselves cuz u have absolutely no clue how good those players are unless u've played with them.LOW LIMIT LIVE IS EASIER TO BEAT4,000-8,000 mixed is probably the toughest game to beat in the world. i just stopped laughing......at you.go to a casino, play at a 2-4 game, see how many people are seeing flops turns and rivers compared to a full 2-4 table online.you obviously have never played 2-4 in a casino, or its been a long time since you have. the live 2-4, 3-6, and 4-8 games are much much looser. its not even close
I just stopped laughing...Limit Poker is about as even online as it is in person.There are three choices call, raise one unit or fold.If you wanted to talk about NL where online folks have an itchy all in finger...ok, but limit? Come on.I agree that there are significant differences. Heck there are differences in how people play NL on the East coast vs. West coast vs. Europe.In the end, cards are cards and your ability to make good decisions is what makes you a good or bad player. Not the medium used to play the game.Limit hold'em is infinitely times easier to beat live than it is online.Be prepared to take more badbeats/hand LIVE because so many players call all the way down to showdown.I play party .50/1 which is arguably the loosest online limit hold'em, and geuss what? 3/6 and 4/8 live players are WORSE. -
the problem here is that i think most people only look in general. they dont have time to go looking in every nook of the forum, that would take all day. thus when a thread is made about the new 90 person SNG at this and this site, or the new structures at party, etc. they should be left in general so people can see them. cuz general is where people go, like it or not.certainly without a doubt, the oh by the way thread should not be moved out of general. we sholdnt have to explain why anymore. it should be obvious

its cute that u wanna hold onto this opinion even tho its obviously incorrect. many of the people you think of as live pros, u probably dont even realize they started out as internet pros - mizrachi, lindgren, and many others. lets look at the other side of the coin - matusow, the ultimate live player took a stab online and lost a couple million because when u take out the live factors like intimidation and reading mannerisms, he's just not as good a poker player as the online sharks he was up against.
Its true the online players have dominated the poker world... but I will say this.... 2004 was the year for on-line players... they played a different game of Hold'em then the way the game has been played in the past.... NOW... let's look at 2005, the Poker Pros (NOT ONLINE) have came back, adjusted and DOMINATED the WSOP and WPT with wins.... NOTHING and I mean NOTHING substitutes for superb LIVE play.
