  1. no way. not at all. Of course I realize it can come off as sounding rather pretentious but I definately dont mean it in that way. I just find it ridiculous that I've been attacked as a horrific player on the basis of one hand posting, and been made out like everyone else is an expert and will never make a mistake. That's all .ohwell, on to bigger and better threads. we can end this discussion now. I concede I played it like dogshit.
  2. lol. Ok Smash, you're really quite hostile base'ing this all on one hand. Actually I have a BSc in Mathematics from UofT and I'd consider myself rather good at limit as well. If you have a television w/ satellite, be sure to try and tune-in September when the canadian degree national championships airs in HD. That'll be me in episode 5 making the top 20 out of 2000. It ain't no final table but definately good for a first major tournament experience. regardless of what you think of my play though , thanks for your thoughts and input. That goes for everyone else as well!
  3. haha, so I see...Thanks for the advice! 8)
  4. First deposit on the site. Down $20. Hit a boat. Putting the opponent on a set of aces. Expecting to get paid off. Simple as that. Take the stakes into consideration. I doubt it's very easy to lay down that boat(this isn't Rounders) unless you definately put them on AA, AK or AJ and my opponents betting certainly doesn't reflect those hands either in my opinion.
  5. What's with the attitude? It's a Strategy forum specifically meant for rationalizing and learning. If your browsing these forums right now, I wouldn't consider your time being that precious at this very moment. You obviously have the time to reply to this dogshit hand. I've already agreed that I should've at least bet the flop strongly. My apologies to wasting the time of 5000 post elite-ist player.
  6. I agree. I should've be on the flop.On this hand though I fully expected to probably have been called. I would've made my boat on the turn and BB would've hit his set (I hoped.)Either way, I doubt I could've thrown this one away at the stakes I was playing.
  7. The thinking here was I landed a set on the flop. I wasn't going to give the BB credit for AJ, AK, KK, AA...It was also my first 100$ cash deposit on the site and I got greedy, wanting to get paid off on a good hand. I was giving the BB credit perhaps for an Ax.If the BB indeed held one of the more premium hands such as above, I would've expected a re-raise.As it happened, he hit two pair on the flop, I hit a set. We both decided to play a bit of a trapping game. I had put him on Ax, and with the turn coming another A I was expecting him to bet large, but I had made my boat so I thought I was
