  1. It would be tough for anyone to think they had the worst hand. You knew nothing about them, and they knew nothing about you. I guess the only possible one might have been the k high flush scared of an A, but still that would be a tough laydown regardless. The board pairing is spooky, but usually not spooky enough to scare the nut and 2nd nut flush off.Hindsight is 20/20, but at the time of the river, everyone probably thought they had the best hand.
not true.....i was playin a limit game with nut flush...river made board pair....almost feel into a trap...but I checked. its easy against one because the best that will happen is you win one more big bet. WCS....you get check-raised and lose 2 more big bet at least....against three...its a bit harder
Hence the word usually :PGreat play if you can feel it out, but like i said, many would still feel they played the hand correctly, although in hindsight of course, it's wrong.Doh!

  3. It's tough to pick an order, each commentator has their own style. I'd probably have to go...1. Lon and Norman2. Mike and Vince3. Everyone Else1 and 2 is a very close race. I sometimes like how Lon and Norm don't get as involved in analysis and Mike does, but sometimes i prefer the more indepth look. Mike is surely the best player of the 4.Sometime's Norms jokes are goofy funny (a la mattias anderson popsicle comment), other times they are completely retarded (Greg Raymer sponge bath comment) but still, he is colorful. The lamest of all is Vince Van Patten calling every pocket pair he sees wired. That really gets old. We know the pair is wired Vince, they only come that way :D

  4. Honestly, i doubt it mattered, he was on a draw on every street, it's doubtful that he would have gave it up no matter what you said you had. He was calling with a 2 5 os with no possible flush. You probably could have told him you had that set and he would have called

  5. I bought this for 10 bucks at target. After reading around on these forums, i realize that I am obviously out of my league for several aspects of the game, but hey, i'm only 25, i have my whole life to figure it out and make some spare cash :)Anyway, I highly recommend this video for someone around the same skillset as me. Phil gives a clear explanation of several topics that i believe are an important foundation for any serious player.I know many of you won't need to see this, as you are all well aware and very skilled in concepts such as pot odds, position, but for someone like me it was the first time these concepts were explained in detail. I learn much better from videos than from books anyway :D I highly recommend this to anyone who has just started playing poker regularly in the past year or so. After all, it's only 10 bucks anyway, and the guy teaching it has 9 wsop bracelets in holdem. He might know what he's talking about :)

  6. I'm always reading that Party Poker has the most fish. While i'm sure this is very true, (after all, I play there!) it might be one of the hardest sites to consistantly beat the low limit games (.50/1, 1/2) I swear, I quit playing there all together recently because of the amount of worthless players there.I don't have much money to blow on online poker, i just play to learn and try to slowly build a bankroll. Those limits have just about became impossible for people who try to consistantly play correctly.AT PARTY POKER LOW LIMIT HOLD'EM, PEOPLE WILL CALL YOU DOWN WITH ANYTHING AND PULL A FLUSH OR STRAIGHT ON THE RIVER!!!!!!!Unless it's just my bad luck, it is becoming obvious that those tables are becoming flooded with people that have way too much time, and more importantly way to much money. It's so tough to maintain anything there when 85% of the time, 4 or 5 people are involved in the showdown. If you have top pair, someone has 2 pair, if you have trips, someone has a flush, you have a straight, they have etc..........I'm not saying it can't be beaten, i know it can, i'm just saying that, while fish are good, i don't care how good a player someone is, if you are sitting at a table with you and 8 clueless players, the skill factor takes a backseat to the luck factor. It's just tough to beat people who play so poorly :D:) I know, I know, all it takes is discipline and really stick it to them when the time is right, but i'd rather punch myself in the face than fold 2 zillian hands waiting for the nuts just to get my blinds back.

  7. Mucking pocket aces.......If anyone ever did this, i would just have to either punch them in the face or laugh out loud for 3 minutes strait.....Seriously though, except in the EXTREME cases stated above, who would ever actually muck aces preflop?BTW, nice hand above here, i would have been jumping around like a ninny had I won that pot.
