i've sent him an invitation. hopefully he joins us.

I expect something more cutting from a trained comedian.
who trains comedians? besides, i'm no comedian. just a guy who's managed to scrape a living off his wit.
i'm fully aware that essay will be around for a long time as troglodytes do not suffer the wear and tear from exposure to the elements. his comment "i must have been busy that day" wasn't as self-effacing as you're presenting it, either. my comment "i've had my moments" was self-effacing. his was a poor attempt at a pile on.

i just popped in to see what was going on in the old thread, saw a discussion about Swingers, thought it sounded interesting, and decided to join in
he's depressed? cool. novel. he's untouchable because he's pathetic? um...no, i think he can still get bodied.
-
because you're a prick, and i don't like you.
how am i a prick? tell me so i can better myself
-
then why spend it attacking me? no need for you to skid on your face all the way to the finish line
-
i must have been busy that day.
ooh, that's what you went with? hate to see the drafts on that one.
meanwhile, you're so determined to own me, and i'm impressed by your persistence in the face of repeated failure. hell i'm almost rooting for you to one day finally do it.

you aren't funny and you never were.
i've had my moments
-
yeah comedy's not really my thing
-
this is wrong on every level, and disqualifies you on any matter concerning media.
really good point you failed to make there

Swingers is a great movie about transformation and how you have to completely let go of the comforts of your past before you can move forward.
Also, the scene with Jon Favreau leaving the multiple voicemails is one of the best comedic moments in 90s film history, and it's been aped multiple times since then.

as if you guys aren't miserable 100% of the time

Cohen is a liar and nothing he says is valid.
-Everyone in this thread 2 weeks ago
You're not really suggesting that Trump didn't know about the meeting beforehand, are you? Because it was obvious he knew before this Cohen stuff came out. Remember this from June 7, 2016?

It's like the old saying: If it looks like a duck. And quacks like a duck. I think it's a tad hyperbolic to call it a duck.
The likelihood of Trump knowing what fascism is, is close to nil. He just likes hurting the NFL since his USFL days and because they wouldn't let him have an NFL team a few years ago. Also, he's a little racist. This is pandering to his base, but in a undeniably fascist way (as long as you believe in the dictionary as a reliable source.) No one likes being called a fascist, even if they are. Is it Diet Fascism? Perhaps. But drink enough Diet Fascism and you're still gonna end up a fat-ass fascist with holes in your teeth.

Are you talking about Trump here? What is Trump doing that is actual Fascism? Is not meeting with NK fascism? Is mentioning that he's being targeted negatively by 90% of the media fascism? Because I'm seeing a lot of words thrown around about Trump (racist, fascist, EMOLUMENT CLAUSE!, Hilter, Literally!, Nuclear Warmonger, etc), but the only thing I'm witnessing is smoke, mirrors, and fear.
Yes, I'm talking about Trump, but not about anything you mentioned.
It's about his insistence on forced patriotism concerning the anthem kneeling. Forced patriotism is the actual definition of fascism.

Who gives a shit? Lying to the Washington Post isn't illegal.
I give a shit.
Not about lying to a journalist—but doing it in order to discredit women coming forward about sexual abuse. (By the way, they've all just been proven as 100% credible over this.) That's evil, and I'm firmly against evil.

he really wasn't very popular with the African American base at all and she had much higher support with women.
Also remember that his brand of leftyism didn't play that well outside of the North East and California even with Democrats in relative terms.
This is true. And sad.

yup, the DNC was in Hillary's pocket but she still would have won the primary against Bernie who wasn't a Democrat and still isn't. Not surprising that the DNC went out of it's way to defeat the candidate who wasn't a member of their party. Not good but not surprising.
I mean, I really don't know about that. Every single person I know preferred Bernie to Hillary. The DNC saw another Obama-esque populist wave coming to sweep her away and did everything they could to stop it. If they gave him a fair shake, I think he would have beaten her.
