  1. My local home game has grown to about 40 people. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good software that could run the game (including seating changes) from a laptop? Free would be a bonus if available. Thanks for any help.

  3. Did you see the Robert's Rule above? Per robert's...it would not be dead.
  4. That's what makes it tough. I assume many casinos have different rules. I wish the rules were universal. You get one person who has experience playing at a certain place and another with an understanding of the rules from another place... Is there a book of rules that is generally accepted? Maybe Robert's Rules would be a way to go?
  5. Thanks. What type of penalty? Like 10 minutes or something?
  6. I was at a home satellite tourny recently where a player turned his cards over in (2) different scenarios. There was a big disagreement about the rules:1) Player 1 checks. Player 2 (to his left) bets big. As player 1 is contemplating a call, the bettor turns his cards over (with a big pair) to discourage Player 1 to draw at his hand. Other players in the game said that hurt the integrity of the game because it affects all the other players as well (i.e. If Player 1 doesn't see that big pair, calls and gets knocked out...then it helps the other players).2) In this scenario, Player 1 checks. 7. Don't want to sound naive, but what is: "raketherake (from sig)" and where would i find that?
  8. Great. Thank you. I assume the E-check deposit/withdrawal method is ok. Everything else at PS seems to be on the up-and-up, so I assume it will be ok. I appreciate your help.
  9. Thank you very much. Is the VIP program based strictly on frequency of play? Do you have to sign up for it? What exactly does it entitle a player to?
  10. I'm not new to poker, but i'm new to the online thing. After talking to some people who play online, I have decided to open an account at PS. Some people on this site were nice enough to educate me on the rakeback, but I think Stars is set up a little different? Anyway, can you help me out with (3) quick questions?1) So, if I open an account with Stars, do I need to do anything beforehand to receive "rakeback" (or whatever's equivalent on Poker Stars)? 2) Looks like E-Check is the only way to do business there. Ever run into any problems?3) I've read about security issues like software/data mi
  11. The show does have that 'cancelled' feeling. Thought it would be worth a try.
  12. I am new to FTP and i'm interested in playing in one of the Rd. 1 Face the Ace qualifiers, but all I see listed is Rd. 2's and the November finals torunament. Anyone know how often the Rd. 1's are offered? Thanks for any help.
  13. Ok. I hope there's minimal flaming on this one, but I was on the Full Tilt site and I didn't see much that indicated a rakeback. Under "Real Money" I saw Full Tilt Points, but I don't think it's the same. Is it indicated somewhere when you actually open the account? Thanks for any help.
  14. I had huge plans for post # 22,904.
