  6. So from what i hear a bet or a check behind is ok? I tend to do either depending on the situation, i just want to extract max value, and i feel i dont, like SCS said.Well can i tell you what happens in the rest of the hand?I bet $5.50 - is this too small? - and he called. The river was a 7s. He then bet out $10What do you do? What do you think he has? How often is he bluffing here? Thanks

  7. Ive started to play 25 NL 6max quite a lot recently, but just thought id share some hands with u guys, see what you think about my line. This is about the 4th hand of the table, and i have won $10 when a guy tried to bluff me, but obv didnt lol.Is my raise on the flop big enough? and on the turn...how much would you bet? or would you check.Thanks.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (4 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comBB ($17.65)UTG ($26.65)Hero (Button) ($35.30)Villain (SB) ($25)Preflop: Hero is Button with Aclub.gif, Qspade.gif1 fold, Hero bets $0.75, Villain calls $0.65, BB calls $0.50Flop: ($2.25) 9spade.gif, Qdiamond.gif, 2club.gif(3 players)Villain bets $1.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $4.75, Villain calls $3.50Turn: ($11.75) 8club.gif(2 players)Villain checks Hero?Total pot: $11.75

  8. [x] OP with low post count posts a strat hand in General[x] People critisize bet sizing[x] vtlaxer says bet sizing is fine[x] others say bet sizing is now fine[x] there would have been more people critisizing bet sizing if vtlaxer had not posted[x] use of passe, dare I say 'retro' checkboxes
I dont get what your trying to say here dude.?As for the hand in question, no-one has guessed it right yet. When will i post the results?
  9. Wouldn't Axdd want to get it in on the floop?
Ye, thats what i thought, surely he would 3bet me on the flop. Then again, i have seen some strange play at this level.By the way, i was playing the $25 6max SnG's last night, and the play is exactly the same. Any of you guys play $38, or $60 SnG's on Stars? How is the play generally?
  10. I dont really care about the hand 3 hands prior, your bet sizes are terrible. If anything it makes you look strong. Most people don't do the exact same thing when they bluff twice in a row. Odds are villain realized you were pretty strong, but since you gave him decent odds, and pretty good implied odds he called, spiked the river, and got you to spew off here.Post in the strat forum btw
Bout the bolded - can i move it myself? And the rest, i find, and this is over quite a lot of play at these games, that bluffing a guy 2 times works an awful lot of the time. But, what would you do here, given his shove?
  11. $13 6max Sng. The reason i almost minraised the flop was that i took this exact line with this guy 3 hands before. Bet 410 on turn, and shoved river, then showed my bluff :)Is this a made flush or a buff?Thanks in advance.Poker Stars $12+$1 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 5 playersThe Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.comUTG: t1955 M = 43.44CO: t2260 M = 50.22Hero (BTN): t1745 M = 38.78SB: t2240 M = 49.78BB: t800 M = 17.78Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BTN with A:club: T:club:2 folds, Hero raises to t100, SB calls t85, 1 foldFlop: (t230) 7:diamond: A:heart: J:diamond: (2 players)SB bets t90, Hero raises to t220, SB calls t130Turn: (t670) 2:club: (2 players)SB checks, Hero bets t410, SB calls t410River: (t1490) T:diamond: (2 players)SB bets t1510 all inHero??

  12. Um, just happened in a 6max SnG . Down to 3 players. Player in question is quite loose, has been raising up to 5xBB when he has had a big hand preflopand has been limping with mainly any 2I raised up to this big, because he NEVER folded on the flop, when he got raised. I wanted to price in his Q-x and his flush/straight draws. My question is, when this 2nd Q comes off, what do i do? Any bet of mine almost prices me in i feel. So is betting or checking the best line of play? And if i check and he shoves? what next? Thanks in advance, for your responses.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $12+$1 Tournament, 100/200 Blinds (3 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comBB (t1410)Button (t4580)Hero (SB) (t3010)Hero's M: 10.03Preflop: Hero is SB with 10club.gif, Kspade.gifButton calls t200, Hero calls t100, BB checksFlop: (t600) Kheart.gif, Qheart.gif, 4diamond.gif(3 players)Hero checks, BB checks, Button bets t200, Hero raises to t810, 1 fold, Button calls t610Turn: (t2220) Qclub.gif(2 players)Hero??Total pot: t2220

  13. He did call.I would have c/c the river. Give him the chance to bluff at it while minimizing your loss if your actually beat.
This. Listen to this man :club: In my opinion his raise his only ever a hand that beats you. Check to him. This way, even if he value bets, it wont be anywhere nearas high as $7. When you bet the river, what hands that you beat can call you?Not much, if any, tbh.
  14. Well thank you very much for your replies. It seems my raise on the turn was probably not right then, for some reason i did not think he had the straight at all. What im going to say next, i know will make you say "WHAAAAT!?! -EV over time" lol. And 9/10 times i would flat call this, but this time, justby looking at him, i was 100% sure he didnt have a Full House. I raised to 2500 and he called with 6hQh LOL. I sat for about 10 mins after this thinking wtf. what the actual hell. Thanks for your replies guys.

  15. Ok, well thanks a lot for your input guys. I will wait for a few more replies before revealing the results. I was wondering what you guys think his small bet on the turn means? And what does his shaking mean? I thought it meant he was weak, but im intrigued as to what fellow FCPers think.

  16. This hand came up in a tournament at my local casino. Buy in was £25+£3Questions are in Italics.Starting stack of 8000 chips, first blind level 50/100.This was around the 3rd or 4th hand of the tourney, so everyone still had around 8000 chips.I was in the button and had 8d Jd. 5 limpers before me, so i limped too. SB completed, and BB checked.Flop - 3d 5h 7d (Pot - 800)Everyone checked before me, so i bet 350i now realise this bet was too small probably. how much should i bet?everyone folded except the player directly to my right, who just flat called.Turn - 6s (Pot - 1500)Villain donkbetted 200, i raised to 800 (kinda scared of a straight - is it ok to get it all in on this turn with the straight/flush draw, if he repops me?Again, this raise is probably too small, how much should i raise to; 1000? Any claim in flat calling? He flatted.River - 6d (Pot - 3100)Villain bets out 1000.With the board pairing, can i raise? if so how much?Side note: I noticed this player was shaking as he made his turn and river bet. What does this signify, if anything?

  17. Because calling makes overcalling more attractive for the other players in the hand, and you still have no real idea where you're at, plus now the pot's bigger and continuing to bet will cost more, not good when you're not fairly sure where you stand in this pot.I'm not going to say a raise or fold is a better play here... but I will ask when you planned on taking control of this hand, and why you're putting chips into a multiway pot if you're not fairly sure you're ahead or that you can steal this pot from everyone involved. Why are you calling the flop when there are two other players to act after you? What are you going to do on the turn?
I planned on taking control of this pot on the turn, if, and only if, the MP stopped betting. If he bet the turn, i would fold. The 200 that i lost, i would feel very comfortable getting it back, as i feel pretty confident in these games. Its worth it in my eyes, to put that 130 on the turn in, to see if he checks on the turn.Your last point; there was only 1 other player to act after me? The SB, because MP had already bet. And i had position on both of these players, which is key here.If on the the turn, like i said before, i would fold if MP bet, or bet a pretty decent sized amount if he checked, as i belived him to have AK/AQ , and i thought SB had a draw/ 7-x, or even a 6-x as ive noticed people call with middle pair, hoping to hit a better hand. I doubted that he had a hand, as my notes on him, stated that he would probably raise/donkbetted at some point with 88/99.
  18. you can 'have your reasons' after being at the table for a reasonable amount of time. You cannot have them after about five hands.
Yes, i know, and i rarely do this. I just happened to have good notes on the players, as i had played against them quite a bit previously. I thought i could use these notes to my advantage. Is this honestly not right? (not meaning to come across as arrogant - if thats the right word. my english is appauling!)So if you had position, and you KNEW that your opponent would cont bet. the flop, then c/fold the turn if he missed, surely thats a good enough reason to call this regardlessof whether i hit or not? Thanks.
  19. If you're not going with it on a flop like that, you're far from getting the right odds of calling pf, no?As hand was played I dnu what to do.I'd probably hit it. But that's because I'm a donk.
Yeah, thats what i thought, on a board like this, i should push. Im just wondering whether, over time, its the correct play or not.
  20. outplaying someone <15 minutes after the start of a donkament is just as useful as being able to peel a banana with your ass.
But i had a pretty good notes on the players involved, so why shouldnt i exploit that? And i dont really think that a $6 SnG is a donkament. Relatively good play i find actually.
