Daniel, I think you may be losing it. You are a poker player. Stop complaining about playing poker. Stop telling your fans that you don't feel like playing poker. No, 5 bb is not my usual opener. But I felt it made sense here with two middle position limpers and $700 already in the pot. My call would make it $900 in the pot and the hope was a pot sized raise would take it down right there so I don't have to play the hand out of position.

Think about this. He is a complete maniac. He called $1000 preflop and $1000 on the flop. I missed the flop entirely. Should I have fired my last $1650 in to the pot on the turn when he feasibly could have filled up with an overpair?

Except that I didn't post this as a bad beat story. I posted this as a sincere question regarding my play. I went all in with nothing more than Ace high. I felt that it was a solid play at the time but am not so certain now.

Did I do something wrong?
