    So I was a cheap bastard and decided to get a free version of holdem manager. All you have to do is to download a poker client through their website, deposit some $ and earn some points. Easy. But damn it do not make the same mistake I did. I downloaded Titan Poker and bought chips for 100 euro. I earned those points in two days (lost like 10% of that 100 euro but whatever), but DAMN Titan Poker sucks ass. Pretty much everything sucks about that friggin card room. I got disconnected several times and it was titan poker to blame for that shit. Traffic, lobby, promotions, support and every little thing imaginable is all bull shit. I feel raped and it's gonna take me a while to start to enjoy poker again. I really hope they didnt scam me for my HEM. I know I need to calm down but damn I'm so pissed about everything that has something to do with titan poker.

    Here's an idea, take your own 2K and make 100K in 6 months....or whatever. Why do you want or need a stake?Why are you willing to work for him instead of working for yourself?
    I dont need a stake and I didnt ask for it. The guy is actually my boss and he's got a bit of money so to speak.He approached me and told me that it would be fun to back me. I told him I would think about it. But you are right. I dont really want it and I dont really need it

    Keep the rakeback.. but I can tell you one thing right now, If I was about to invest in you and you said " If i made 100k Id really not want to give them 50k" youd be insta 86'd from ever gettin backed by me.. An extremely retarded thing to say.
    well first of all I respect you and your game as everybody else in here. But please don't tell me that what I say is "extremely retarded". I think your post suggest that I might scam someone which I would never do. I started this topic cause I had no idea about cash game staking deals and I was looking for help. My extreme example was a way to enlightening something I was confused about. Perhaps it was a bad example but let me put it this way: if someone staked durrrr in the beginning of his poker career with $50 and he never went busto and enjoyed the same success as in reality. If so, is he bound to give his old backer half of that 533k he made last night? Thats why I asked about time frames and stuff. Well whatever nevermind. I just wanted to stand up for myself and say that I would always follow through my commitments. I hope you get my point. And btw I dont know what "86'd" means but I guess it isn't something nice. And I wanna thank you guys for some good responses. I will reject the offer. I might ask him if he'd be interested in buying a share of me in the scoop instead :club:

    Perhaps this is a newbie question but I'm really lost in this...Someone has shown interest to stake me in cash games. I'm offered lets say 2k. I'm going to play on one site exclusively and I have rakeback on this site. My BR on this particular site is around 2k as well. What is the standard deal? My backer don't know too much about poker and it's pretty much up to me to come up with a fair deal. I really do wanna make this fair, especially since I know the guy. Since he's got 50% of my action I assume it's standard to give him 50% of my winnings including rakeback? When does the deal end? I mean, if I end up winning a huge amount like 100k (don't worry. I don't think I'm gonna win 100k. It's just an example) within six months I dont really wanna give my backer 50k. That just seems out of proportion. There must be a time frame. Help please

    lol at fluff just getting bashed in this thread.bwahahaha!!I wonder what some of these people think now if they knew.
    this thread just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover, especially on the internet. i remember the first time i realized what a playa fluffdog is. there was some thread about him losing a ridiculous amount HU at like 5/10 or something and he replies its no big deal hes certain he has an edge against this guy. i'm like wtf where did he get the cash to play that high? then it turns out hes one of the best players on this forum. the leveler indeed :club:
