Was talking to my ex-roomie and the director today, and he was saying how he decided to try to get me hired when he saw my spreadsheet stream, the one for JLL. So I guess I owe everything to JLL.

i tried the chorizo at chipotle today. GAME CHANGER. opened up a new world of flavor. burritos will taste better for years to come.

As sort of a post script to my hospital stay, My company put my on LOA since there was no way of knowing when/if I'd be returning to work. Shortly after getting out of the hospital they had hired my replacement, picked up my car and had me send back my Ipad and Iphone. I am now officially an ex-employee of theirs. Thankfully CA disability pays pretty strong and I actually get more money now than my net paycheck was since disability isn't taxed and I'm not paying for health insurance. Have MediCal for insurance now and since they don't count disability as income its 100% coverage at zero cost to me.
That's good news?

The absurdity of the human condition, that's how. Tilty faced the abyss and came back. My guess is when he's through all of this and healthy again his zeal for life will be ten fold from before. He'll live fully and confidently and he'll love and be loved and appreciate it in a way impossible to those who haven't been near death.

What is it called when really smart friends you have, seem really stupid? Like they make terrible jokes, and think really dumb YouTube videos are hilarious. It's almost like they are retarded, but they can code or do math stuff like a sonofabitch or whatever. I don't get those people, and I seem to have like 100 of those friends.
