  1. That was not what I was saying. I do believe those programs are unethical and illegal. But I said nothing about those. What I WAS saying was that having someone talking to you, telling you at what point you need to shove, what things and moves you should make, is very much illegal, and unethical in any live or online poker room.If someone cannot see that having someone else guide you through hands is unethical, then that person is retarded.
so I guess Johnny Chan is unethical and a cheater for "helping" Jamie Gold through the final day of the WSOP by giving him coaching on how/when to shove, what things and moves he should make, etc.ummm..NOTJ edit: already posted Johnny Chan idea...shows how good it is

  4. TJ if you wanted to do it as a package deal and had for example 30k in total buyins here is what you would sell shares for:At 1.2:1 each 1% share would cost the backer $360. This would get them 1% of your total cashes of the tournaments you had listed. If you wanted to do it for individual tourneys you just use the same math.As for taxes, that is something you include in your initial agreement w/the backers. Make sure they understand that they will incur their share of taxes depending on what % they bought. Also, this type of backing deal definitely shouldn't include any expenses. Some long-term backing deals that involve make-up might somehow factor in travel expenses, but they are your responsibility in a "selling pieces" deal like this.
trying to understand this one - so 100 people each buy in for 1% of TJ. he has acquired $36k to put towards $30k of buyins. what happens to the other $6k? and when he cashes anything, he owes 100% to his backers, what does TJ get?J
  5. I agree with everything that you said. Thing is, none of this is Obama's fault. He HASN'T gone on a negative campaign while the bitch decided, "Heck, we can't win anyway, let's just go nuts and yell about how bad Obama sucks." It worked, and now she is back in the race. It has been a sad week. They are going to have to spend a ton more money and if she really cared about the Dems winning she would have bowed out, not gone on the monster attack, and realized that all this plays into the GOP's hands. Pretty sick, but this is like the only way McCain would have had a shot, and unless Obama can continue to spin all of this without looking really bad, McCain will be president and I will be blogging from Barcelona...
love ya DN, really, but this is an oft used threat that has never been carried out by liberal celebs!! :club: J
  6. Fact 1 - if I'm at the table and in the SB, with 3 limpers in front and me with J6os, and I fold, there's a 98% likelihood that the board will be JJ6, whileFact 2 - if I'm at same table with same situation but instead I simply call the BB, there's also a 98% chance that the flop will be AAK, to which I fold to a raise and the bettor shows J6os....J
